duff is the safest pair of hands since girvan dempsey- kearney is totally unsuited to the way ireland play- going on a run every time while it looks good he mostly turns over the ball, he never passes and in my opinion is a liability- murphy if fit is the best without a doubt and gavin is second in line- his positional play is exceptional to say the least

And im still waiting for his response about people wasting money to go to a televised rugby match and then complaining about not being able to pay mortgages etc.

jonny simply put when you have no 7 you go for the nearest thing and wallace was the nearest to a 7- but he lacks the qualities needed as a 7 but has all the qualities of a 6 - is that goo enough for you!

everyone can afford to go to go to rugby matches- even if you are 100% lazy and do nothing you get about 180 a week- plenty of money in the nanny state

Ballboy the point I was making to you was you were being very arrogant to others and telling them they knew nothing about rugby. Yet the point you made about Wallace being a natural 6 is nonsense as all his coaches down the years will tell you. You seem to think that you know more than all these people about the welfare of David Wallace.

Great news to see that O'Driscoll, Heaslip and Sexton have agreed to extend their stays in Ireland beyond next season too :) C'mon Ireland

so jonny you seem to know what the coaches think now? give it a rest good lad! its like this ill dumb it down for you so you can understand- in mayo gaa we have not had a fullback since kevin cahill- thats well over 10 years ago- for the majority david heany has played there but he is a midfielder and that is his natural position- the only time he ever played fullbal was for mayo in the champioship i.e. he was the best available but that didnt make him a full back. its very hard debate rugby with people who do not know what they are talking about and particularly those who think they know what someone else thinks- give it a rest jonny

850536 Dell there are over 48 Senior Rugby clubs in Ireland. There are 32 Counties in Ireland and 2 outside of Ireland.

Not sure what your point is here POG. In Tyrone alone we have 48 football clubs

Ballboy grow up good lad. I simply stated that you are the only person who I have come across that says Wallace is a number 6? I said that surely his coaches throughout the years would know better than us? Are you claiming to know more than these professional coaches that work him daily? And sorry to burst your bubble, but I played with David Heaney for years for his former club, and I can tell you his natural position is centre half back, sorry to burst your bubble! You can ask him if you don't believe me.

What do we reckon to Saturday then lads. Are we going to win or what?????

Even though this is a very new team that's been put together i think we will get our campain off to a good start and get a handy win.

I'm going to go with a 35-10 scoreline to Ireland. I also reckon the Welsh will upset the England hype machine tonight and scrape a win, and the Jocks will go down valiantly in Paris.

But COME ON IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well if that is true about heany (which it isnt) that just confirms my point regarding wallace- think about it playing in a position but your natural position is elsewhere- thanks for confirming that jonny and for proving me right

Ballboy everyone on here thinks your full of it going on other posts i have read, and you are making no sense here. I am a friend of David Heaney and this is what he has always said, I played with him for Beal Atha na Muice for 6 years yet you know more than me, amazing really.

I noticed how this thread died a death after the French game?

To be fair Dubsfan it died a death after the Italy game.

Don't see why. We didn't actually play that bad against France and if we cut down on the errors there is a triple crown to be won. Championship is gone now so all focus on the Jocks and getting back on track again with a win in Murrayfield.

Also Sean Cronin MUST start. Come on Ireland.

I agree Tribe theres no reason why we can't on to win the triple crown this year.....but yes the errors we saw against france MUST be cut out cause even though Scotland were a shambles against Wales they will beat us if we start making stupid handling erros again. Best of luck to Leinster away to the Blues tomorrow and same to Connacht at home to Glasgow now.
