But seriously if you were to tell me at the start of the year that Johnny was going to finally get his All-Star I wouldn't of thought it possible to top that. Dermot playing against Antrim, McGeeney talking about it so well after the game explaining about what representation means to the Earleys be it for their county in the GAA or for their country in the armed forces. In a week when Stephen Ireland said he might come back and play for Ireland to put himself in the shop window it's fantastic to have men around like that to be a real role model for young people growing up.

Yea Meath were as gracious as ever in victory!!!! rather NOT....the ignorence and lack of sportsmanship was as low as ever , they had one good day out in this years championship and we never heard the end of it..........the fans were as nasty and ignorent as ever that day in Croker.........

Well molly it was nice change from being told to 'shove your royal county up your ****' by gracious Dublin fans. Oh and i tried to shake hands with a Dub in the row in front of me after the match and he outright refused and launched a barrage of verbal abuse at me, so less of the whinging about us.


To Dublins credit they didnt attack the ref though, fair play!

I hate to admit this, but Lar Corbett scoring Tipp's 4th goal V Kilkenny in the All-Ireland hurling final.

It was a moment where a team and management realised their dream had come through and everything they had worked for finally bore the fruit they wanted. A great game capped off by a great goal.

The emotion in St Conleths park the evening Dermot Earley Snr was something that will stay with me forever. The courage of Dermot Jnr was the greatest dedication that any one or any group could have paid to his Dad.

"Put it Up" from Johnny Doyle against Meath deserves a mention.

To be fair we had a roller coaster this year following Kildare, from the Laois brawl to the schooling given to Derry, Jimmers goal v Meath to Kalum Kings finger tips.

Will you please stop talking absolute Rubbish please molly ? Honestly you would swear us Dubs and all fans in general bar meath are perfect .. Meath fans that day only did what Dublin fans do when we beat them , Its called banter and having a laugh .. I didnt begrudge meath their victory against us and as much as i have a horrible dislike for meath and hate seeing them do well , You still have to give credit where its due and their fans where very good that day , both before and after the game and made great noise getting behind their team..

There is a SMALL MINORITY of Idiots from our county , Same way there are a small minority or idiots from every single county in the country , Fans who will be arrogant is victory , but 95% of GAA fans are genuine fans who go to games , have fun , and can honestly give/take the banter that comes their way .. there is nothing wrong with meath fans' sportsmanship , infact i think sportsmanship in the GAA is fantastic especially as the fans of both sides who can sit amongst each other even in the most important games without invoking a riot , That says something about the level of appriciation fans have for each other .. On the pitch and during the 70 minutes , its hatred and war .. not just against meath ...... against everyone , but after the 70 mins the mutual respect all counties have for each other is sublime..

Take off the Dublin blinkers like a good fella and dont abuse all Meath fans for a small minority of fools , because there are a small minority of Dubs who let their county down time and time again..
