824317 The 3 pin 13 amp BS Plug a life saver unlike those weak and feeble Continental 2 pin plugs with there wonky sockets that you get on your holidays.

I'll second that fortyfive, those US and European efforts are an accident waiting to happen.

I need to add, and I'm sure others have but I cant be bothered looking, the incredible standard of music that GB continual produces. If you exclude the generic dross that the X factor panders to there are some unbelievable groups and artists out there, and not necessarily the commercially successful variety either. I'm a bit of an indie fan myself and can happily wile away the hours watching Q or NME channels, and thats where you find 'real' music. If the likes of the Script and Westlife are typical of what this country has to offer, then there really is no comparison.

So Partique you would absolve Britain of all responsibility for the consequences of their policies and continual self imposed ignorance.

Although the Catholic church may have been silent because of the fear of reprisals I t6hink you draw a vey long bow to lay the responsibility of Misrule by a British government at the door of Armagh Cathedral

brendtheredhand: check out a band called The Delays. Not had any significant chart success but they have produced some excellent music. I've got a copy of all four of their albums and they are well worth it! Plenty of variation on each album as well.

Now now derryman, your reading is letting you down here.

I said Britain ignored Ireland after 1921, to me a fault, never mind 99% of Nationalists and 94% of unionists voting for partition back in 1920. In the North that is.

I did not say I would absolve them. In the 1930s a few Labour MPS tried to raise the profile of Ireland again at Westminster but were ignored.

But, the reality is that the Unionist party and the Catholic Church, neither of whom are British, combined to keep Catholics subjected.

Indeed it could be argued that the British 1944 education Act freed them, ultimately.
