Think it will be a handy team that will beat De La Salle, much better balance in them this year, nice blend of youth and expierience and they all big men who can hurl so dont write them off i think they will beat sarsfields in the oppener even in Cork.

Agree with KKkid, saw the Cork final and thought that the Glen threw it away. Sars were saved by Cussen who had done little up to the last five minutes. Don't see them even winning Munster which imho will be between De La Salle and Thurles.

Looking through the list of teams left, Clarinbridge have a serious chance if they can get over Loughrea on Sunday. Loughrea are rightly favourites for Sunday particurly in the rain keeps up and the usual hurricane is blowing in Pearse stadium (when oh when are we going to get county finals back to Kenny Park) but I think Clarinbridge have a better chance of progressing in the AI series. On another point, unlike Portumna, both Loughrea and Clarinbridge have serious underage talent so whoever wins Sunday may be in a position to dominate for a few years to come.

There was a link with Coolkerry and the Dublin SHC Final. Boden manager Liam Hogan is from there. He led Boden to an historic 4 in-a-row and he says here they are intent on doing well in Leinster after 2 consecutive hammerings. this is the only place you will see video from the Dublin final yesterday -link

Got Raharney at 6-1 in the bookies. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

only hurling - we're never going to have county finals back in Kenny Park! And for good reason. Nothing wrong with Salthill yesterday, great pitch, no wind, big crowd accomodated with no problem, unlike in Athenry! And it was easy to drive away, didn't get caught in traffic. Its where 1 out of every 3 people in Galway live, its the best stadium, why on earth would they go back to Kenny Park?

On another note, game yesterday wasn't up to much, ref blew everything up, and I think Loughrea will have too much in the replay. Although Alan Kerins can hardly be as poor in front of goal again (one glorious pass for a goal aside)

Hurling could turn out to be like the football last year when none of the big guns came out of the county championships and you had an Antrim V Clare final (no disrespect to St. Gall's or Kilmurray, two fine club sides who deserved to be there). You could yet end up with a semi-final line up that looks like Clarinbridge, Loughiel, Ballyboden and Killmallock or De la Salle. It's wide open.

At this very early stage I'll go with a Mullane inspired De la Salle to go all the way.

801310 darren stamp missing for Oulart in their semi. i'd have thought oulart would be too strong for the winners of offaly and westmeath. I'm making a big assumption that Coolderry will beat raharney, but having seen the offaly county final and the semi final, I wouldn't rate coolderry's chances against oulart.

Well I should never make assumptions. Well done raharney, a great win for Westmeath.

As I said earlier - keep an eye out for Oulart to win the All-Ireland and possibly Portlaoise in the football....

Hurlingdub, you must have been watching en entirely different game to myself as Cussen did absolutely nothing in the last 5-10 minutes of that game, Kieran Murphy and Tadgh Og got the scores that won Sars the game at the death.

However, you are right abouts Sar's chances, they won't win Munster or come close to it.

Stand corrected. Yes, was confusing Murphy with Cussen! Thought he was 14.

@thurlesblues thurlas sarsfields will have tough game against kilmallock they have dominated underage in limerick for the past 10 years or so they have a very good manager in tony considine and a good selection of youth with experience plus the game will probably be in kilmallock
