Im talking about senior hurling in Tipperary not about an intermediate team in Belfast!!

Gotcha!!!!!!!!

Have you ever been to a hurling game, or ever played the sport or is it all from the computer?

Let's look at the comment about an "intermediate club in Belfast". That "intermediate" club are all Ireland SENIOR club champions and all Ireland 7s champions. That is two senior all Ireland's this year. Their hurlers lost in the all Ireland intermediate final.

Now not only have Thurles NEVER won an all Ireland at any grade, they haven't won Munster. Maybe their FOOTBALLERS lost in the all Ireland intermediate final this year?

Now in the All Ireland club HURLING, SENIOR, championships, let us have a wee look.

1980: Ballycastle beaten in the final:

1983: Loughiel WINNERS

1989: O'Donovan Rossa beaten in the final.

1995: Dunloy beaten in a replayed final.

1996: Dunloy beaten in the final

2003: Dunloy lost in the final.

2004: Dunloy lost in the final.

So for Antrim, one win and 6 runners up.

Thurles sarsfields....................................................................?

Thurles who? They would be a junior side in Antrim.

I'd fancy Oulart quite strongly, could and probably should have beaten Ballyhale last year; although Thurles Sarsfields will obviously be strong contenders.

At the risk of ridicule; Rathdoweny-Errill (Laois Champs) will play the Kilkenny Champs next sunday, just a week after the Kilkenny final. Obviously, and rightly so, they will be massive favourites but Rath-Errill are a decent outfit and are the kind of balanced team that could catch out Carrigshock or The Gaels should the celebrations stretch out next week.

Tis happening again my posts are not being published..... so here a bit off the thurles saefields that outlines that there were more than one club in thurles prior to 1974 when thurlesblues leads us to believe their was a split

1950-1975 A Golden era

In 1949, the Thurles Fennellys club was formed in Bohernanave, at a time when there was an abundance of hurlers in Thurles. Hurling was at its peak in the town with all three clubs competitive to varying degrees. Indeed, Fennelly's Larry Keane and Jimmy Moloney won minor All-Ireland medals that year with Tipperary, while Connie Keane and Paddy Brolan were selected on the Tipperary junior team. After a dispute in 1950 however, there was a mass exodus from the club with most players transferring to Sarsfields, and the Keane brothers, like the Doyles before them in 1938, went on to star for the Blues in key positions in the years that followed.

also thurlesblue dose the "New York Senior Hurling Championship" you have which you claim is an all-ireland medal resemble the celtic cross you get for a real all-ireland senior medal.

I love the way nobody mentions Loughrea as potential winners. They're the second team to beat Portumna in many years, and have the potential to beat anyone - they're not the best team I've ever seen, but Galway has provided more winners recently than anyone. They have to beat the Bridge yet, and I'm not sure I'd fancy either to win, but surely they have a shot!!!

Oulart and Sars (Cork) played a challenge over the weekend, with Oulart shading it by a couple of points. Both teams not out till Nov 14th.
Ballyboden I reckon will give O Loughlins a tough game should they meet in Leinster semi and would be a good outside bet for Leinster, 9/1 with Paddy Power.

How does the draw go in the semi-finals? Are all four teams thrown into the hat or are the winners of set provinces due to meet each other?

I'd fancy Loughrea on same basis as someone else mentioned - their having beaten Portumna. Interesting to see Ballyboden mentioned. They struggled in early stages of Dublin but have been impressive of late and have Paul Ryan who you can expect to see in a blue jersey in the league I'd imagine. 2 - 9 against O'Tooles. Boden still have to play Vinnies and then short run in to Leinster semi but the fact that this could be their fourth Dublin in a row and are possibly better than in previous years they do have the potential to put it up to any team in Leinster and 9/1 is possibly a good bet. O' Loughlins were impressive against Carrickshock and have to be favourites to win Leinster and second most likely to win All Ireland. I thought Thurles were average last year mainly due to Lar not seeming to be firing on all cylinders. That is the key. If Lar is up for it then of course they have to be in with a chance.

Loughiel, already in the semi final, play the Leinster champions.
