Thurlesblues, your lack of hurling knowledge is staggering. While unfortunately Galway remain amoung the weaker counties in senior county honours, the club record is second to none both in terms of overall victories and also in terms of spread of clubs claiming those victories.

bless ya thurles.

Tipp are a great county, as are Gaillimh - and there can be no denying ye have the better record at intercounty, but your club record pales compared to ours.

Thurlesblues.. if Tipperary are more concerned about Liam McCarthy why do you bother coming on here with your tunnel visualised views and get in the way of an interesting discussion? When you claim not to be interested in the club championship?

They were lucky to come out of the semi final last weekend only for a goaled free from a long ways out in the dying minutes where they managed to win by 1 point..... were you at it thurlesblue how's about a report of the match instead of your usual drival!!!

Hopefully the win won't be overshadowed by any suspensions!!

Saying that if sarsfields get it together they have a strong team and hopefully no suspensions are on the cards they should do well but have to win the county final first.

Also Thurles sarsfields should be winning more, they have a senior and intermediate also a Junior A and Junior B adult team..... also you have Thurles Gaels Gaa club an amalgamation of thurles Kickhams, Rahealty and Thurles Fennellys who also have 2 adult teams and have been know to be used as a bit of a feeder club by thurles sarsfields.... So there are 6 adult teams in thurles that more than some counties have they should be winning it every year...... look at toomevara in comparison it not a massive town/village and has a great history.

Yer wasting yer time with Thurlesblues lads. He's only interested in spouting statistics! I recommend starting a thread without any hint of Hurling in the title and a decent discussion won't be ruined by drivel!

Thurles Sarsfields would beat many intercounty teams!

Are they a senior club? Surprised they have never won Munster or been in the club final.

Mind you, I can only think of FOUR Antrim clubs who have been in the final, Dunloy FOUR times. And Loughiel who even WON it, and still there this year.

The only Sarsfields in club hurling were the great side from Galway featuring the legendary Joe Cooney among others.

Thurles Sarsfields last had a good side in the 1950s.

I'd go with Oulart. Ballyhale were lucky last year. And some fine hurlers on Oulart.

Yes Hags I was at the match and Toomevara have a good history. Not quite as good as Thurles Srasfields though who have 30 titles compared with 21 for Toome and you can make that 31 titles after the Clonoulty game. They also won 10 titles out of 11 and won the football the year they lost out on the 11 in a row. Now I dont think Toome will ever achieve that do you? Or any other club for that matter either inside or outside of Tipp. I stand open to correction but Il be waiting Id say!!! I palyed with Sarsfields Hags and have connections with the management so yes I was a6t the game

"Yes Hags I was at the match"

So that all you can say about the game and you were supposed to be at it, but then go off and a numbers rant again, change the bleeding record will ya!!

Again why shouldn't they be winning all that they can field 6 adult hurling teams thurles.... a lot of clubs find it hard to put a panel of 30 together for one team.....

I'm not knockin sars they are a great clubs but have not lived up to their potential in fairness really have they their last club win before 2005 was 1974.... they've a Team I believe that can now do some serious damage if they win another one this year.
