Loyalists caught removing Down flags

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Patrique, if there was an Olympic medal for missing the point, you would be assured of the gold. We are only discussing the Irish News because its files are a matter of public record. You can make all the claims you like in other areas, but an allegation about the contents of a newspaper can be easily checked out. You have already been caught out over the colourful `Brits and the dead dog' tale, for which no cutting exists and even you admit goes back almost 40 years. You then threw in the line about the still unidentified columnist who is supposed to have said that cancer sufferers in the public sector are malingering, but details and dates are still not forthcoming. Finally, you criticise my views on the Tesco case, even though I have never mentioned it in any previous post (of which there have been 74, and not 160 as you suggest). All these red herrings have been produced to support your contention that the Carryduff flags incident - which was witnessed by local GAA members, captured on film, discussed by politicians, and eventually condemned by a director of Glentoran FC - never happened. Is it at all possible that you have got this one wrong ?

Alas I only speak Irish, English and a bit of French or Spanish so this is wasted on me.
Another lie, how can someone speak a bit of french or spanish, surely they must be able to speak a bit of one or the other or both!

Don't be worrying over this issue too much lads. I have no doubt come September 2011, the An Dun flags will be flying proudly over Co. Down once again !

Regardless of the intimidation and bigotry shown by members of the public and police service.

Well once you learn to read get yourself along to the newspaper Library, up at the side of the Telegraph Office.

It has EVERYTHING, with loads of articles by everyone's favourite, Newton Emmerson.

Now, stop making an idiot out of yourself, you are showing distinct anal signs, with your pedantry.

Oh we now know it happened, that is not in doubt.

What everyone wants to know is how do we know it was "loyalists?"

Now you seem to be one for a paper trail, so perhaps you can find evidence that the perpetrators were "loyalists".

And please., do not be tempted to illustrate crass sectarianism by mentioning a Glentoran top.

Most of East Belfast support the Glens, because unlike you, the Glens were never associated with sectarian causes.

Enjoy the Newspaper Library by the way.

Can you show me where I said it wasn't wrong?

I did say it was a minor incident and not worth starting a jihad over, and I also said how do you know it was Loyalists. could you prove that in court?

And careful, Mourne Head might ask you to.

And a little tip. Get someone to read the posts for you before assuming what they actually say.

Good lad.

Patrique, you have followed up your Olympic gold medal with a new world record for missing the point. You are the person who has been making the claims about the contents of newspapers, so it is up to you to produce the evidence. to support your allegations. It will be fairly easy to find, unless, by any chance, it does not exist.

Why? Sure people like you don't require evidence.

And since you didn't ask, the lady with the breast cancer, the malingerer, is now happily back at work.

Thanks for the concern and support.

That's the police Gaelic team, Garnerville Gaels, all from Tyrone and Antrim and obviously jealous of Down.

But don't worry, I am playing at a traditional Irish night to raise money from them, so maybe they can get a few Down men on board.

The star hurler is from Down.............

Patrique

are you noticing a worrying trend, where people are putting a random set of words down hoping that a point will then ensue?

tom being the prime example

then this guy makes a good enough joke about missing the point and the olympics, but feels compelled to repeat it ad naseum.

are people forgetting to check their mushrooms for toxins again?

To follow on from this - did anyone watch BBC ni news tonight- once again their coverage of local sport was poor - especially GAA - we had a fairly substancial report on linfield v glentoran, the commonwealth games , the ryder cup -both of which have not started yet -- however no footage of either the Co. football final or hurling final in Antrim - or co s-finals in armagh which attracted very large crowds - putting up and taking down flags is one thing buth parity of esteem is another....

The BBC had a meeting about this.

"Do we go with the RYDER Cup, Tiger, Phil Mick, Padraig, Rory and grahame, or do we go with the Armagh SEMI FINAL"

That's a brilliant post, very funny indeed.

But fellow posters, I ask you not to gang up on Dell and co and start making fun, they are entitled to an opinion.
