Jaysus thurlesblues you were 100% correct from the start. We are still waiting for the first Cat to emerge no doubt they will surface as the day progresses, I'm off to Spain for a week tonight, I'll drop into an internet cafe over there to check on how the aftermatch analysis between yourself and Pudders is going. Do you know anything about football, I sincerely hope you are predicting Cork to win Sam. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 06/09/2010 10:19:27 766105 Link 0 |

Well no complaints, the best team won yesterday. Tipp were far hungrier and out fought us. They played like we did for the first of our four. So many of the tipp team played fantastic yesterday it is hard to pick out individuals. Padraig maher was immense as was most of the tipp backs who really kept so many of the cat forwards quiet. Really only jj and Mick fennelly played for us yesterday. This tipp team have more all Irelands on them given their age. The balance of power may have shifted west of urlingford. ask a silly question but thurlesblues, if you were so sure ye'd win by at least 7 points, why did you bet €100 on winning by 4-6? gigoer (Wexford) - Posts: 1998 - 06/09/2010 10:48:57 766144 Link 0 |

Who would be possible candidates for retirement. Eddie Brennan, Henry Sheflin possibly depending on how injury responds. Who else? corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 06/09/2010 10:57:08 766150 Link 0 |

Corbett must go down in history for scoring 3 goals in a hurling final ever. Cavan_gael (Cavan) - Posts: 100 - 06/09/2010 10:59:50 766155 Link 0 |

Thurlesblue how can you be so modest / gracious before and after the game? You really have touched a lot of people in HS with your graciousness!! tommy k (Galway) - Posts: 3470 - 06/09/2010 11:05:47 766162 Link 0 |

CavanGael There is a seperate thread re when last hat-trick was scored which was 1970, I also mentioned in that thread that Bob McConkey got 6 goals in 1923 , and I'm not even sure if that is all time record. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 06/09/2010 11:24:32 766176 Link 0 |

Tipp did to Kilkenny what Kilkenny have beeen doing to everyone else for the past 4 years. Killed them with a couple of quick goals. Over the years the mantra we all learned was take your points and the goals will come. Kilkenny stood that on its head in recent years and often scorned points in pursuit of goals. Tipperary did the same yesterday and it worked. Twas almost a bit sad to see Kilkenny taking a point with minutes to go when a goal chance was possibly on. There was 6 points in it at that time and if they had played for and got the goal , who knows. Overall it was a really great game and it was so exciting I would have to watch a re-run before I could make an analysis. Off the top of my head I wouldn't have signalled out Tyrell as having a poor game but who could have believed that this Kilkenny back-line would have conceded such a score. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 06/09/2010 12:27:45 766245 Link 0 |

First you had €30 on it, then you had €100 on it. You make up odds from ladbrokes that never were!! Stick to the facts it would make you more believeable. thurlesblues (Tipperary) - Posts: 4475 - 06/09/2010 13:59:11 766380 Link 0 |
