766623 What is A "WUM"???

It can be applied to about 99% of the posts and posters on Hoganstand. Excluding this one.

Obviously.

Not among GAA people I know Patrique.Maybe cross community relations are better in Belfast and the east?

Seanie, it is 2010. we do not have cross communities anymore, we are now all one, as in parity of esteem, as in a power sharing government of Sinn Fein/DUP.

It is time Tyrone entered the 21st century, and lost that inferiority complex.

Good stuff Patrique ha ha! I still don't know any GAA people who are avid Glasgow Rangers fans.In all seriousness,I doubt that is possible for you though,do you actually know any GAA people who are Glasgow Rangers fans?

I thought also that this past marching season demonstrated that we have "very cross" communities in parts of the north.Didn't you think so?

I am constantly told that "real" Celtic fans are NOT the mindless bigots so should it now work both ways?

Exactly right. Celtic fans are cut from the same cloth. The football seems to be a side note.

I personally do not know any avid GAA fans who are Celtic fans.

Indeed my immediate family advocate banning the wearing of Celtic jerseys within a ten mile radius of GAA grounds.

Bit extreme. 5 should be enough.

"Orangefest?"

Yes, it was great this year.

Great to see that most of the country is now copying Derry City and turning this into a family day.

Except the neanderthals in.....Tyrone.

What is it with Tyrone? Did they only discover Irishness recently and can't handle it?

Patrique get over your fascination with Tyrone, it's was tiresome this time last year never mind now. Every second post trying to provoke a reaction reflects worse on you.

For possibly the oldest poster on the site you're certainly one of the most immature.

As you can see sometimes people like my good self will be labelled a Wum just because I have a different opinion on certain matters. It is easier to dismiss someone as a Wum when you lack the ability to debate with them, I actually take it as a compliment

You dont debate lad, any time a difficult question is put to you on a topic you ignore it and then later on in the thread simply repeat your inital opinion. Come back when you understand the concept of a debate.

Sadly there's very people on this site who are willing to engage in a debate, rather resort to petty insults if you disagree with them. I'm afraid you fall into that category Goodfella but this link may be a start. Good luck mo chara, I look forward to debating with you in the future :)

PomeroyPlunkett I dont see where I have insulted you on this board, unless you consider being called a WUM an insult? If this has caused you offence I apologise however I do believe you say things on occasion to deliberately annoy other posters into a response. In any event I look forward to debating with you, I also hope you'll respond to an argument put to you in future rather than ignoring points that dont concur with your own view.

Nearly every GAA club in the north would have a few Celtic fans in their ranks so I can only assume you are not a member of any club. You also didn't say whether or not you knew any Rangers fans who were GAA people, obviously you are ignoring this part of the question.I was honestly having a bit of craic with you with this exchange but you seem to only ever have antagonism as your main goal on this forum.I mean where does an Antrim man get the gall to question the Irishness of Tyrone people? As for your love and appreciation of the Orange tradition,I guess the people of Rasharkin,Dunloy,Ardoyne,Garvaghy Road and other places don't share your enthusiasm on this one.Personally I believe the drive to turn the whole coat trailing, bigoted and triumphalist exercise into a "family day" is a move that smacks of desperation and is fuelled by falling membership of the loyal orders. The young Protestant population don't embrace the whole nonsense like previous generations from their community. The international monitors and press laugh at them when they are relaying coverage of these parades to their own countries.Sombre suited bowler hat and sash wearing men, demanding to march where they are not wanted in some sort of archaic display of superiority. If you want to embrace it though go right ahead, knock yourself out.

Over the past couple of years my good friend bad.monkey aka Real Rangers Fan has started a number of threads slagging Celtic and Celtic Supporters accordingly I find myself constantly reacting to his threads. So on this occassion I decided to reverse the trend and start a thread myself

Untrue, in fact the main thread in which this happened was called 'Wheres that rangers fan now!!!!' started by celtic fans after rangers lost a european cup game. Most threads werent even about celtic supporters - like the one congratulating kris boyd on becoming the SPLs top scorer but of course was derailed off topic by bitter celtic fans looking to play the victims. Again here you are playing the victim, what is it about celtic fans always crying like little girls. cop on lads, its embarrassing.

This thread is just another example of celtic fans Wumming and playing the victim. It was started to antagonise, insult and divide. When i called corkcelt on this he seemed to imply this was all in my head, despite admitting it was a WUM thread on the first page of the thread! Hang your head corkcelt

funny i have no idea where the 'Real' came from, i guess celtic fans always have paramilitary groups on their minds, they certainly always have them in their songs

Maybe instead of telling good irish men like corkcelt to hang there head maybe you should take your own advice . And northern ireland supporters ( rangers boys ) threatened lennon just because he played for celtic.
