The problem Galway have with the venue is that Tipp are TRAINING there all year. If Dublin play in Croke Park its a home venune but they dont train there. It an absolute joke to have game in Thurles. Its a massive advantage to Tipp to have the game on there training pitch.

If i was Galway i wouldnt turn up, the CCCC have said its the FAIREST venue which is insulting to Galway and id like to see the CCCC worm there way out of it. Although if Galway dont turn up they give Tipp more time to recover. The CCCC are a disgrace once again.

when the fixture was made for the game to be in Semple Stadium all them weeks ago surely some county board would have said there and then "what if tipp get to the final" and then lodge complaint not the week before a match. Anyway Semple Stadium best hurling pitch in the country. surely players would jump at the chance to play there

this is a delicate situation. On the one hand, I'd like to see a boycott, just as two fingers to the GAA, who seem to ignore us at every turn over the past few years. However, that would not be the route I would take, as its not fair to the players who deserve to play in an All-Ireland. I'll be there on Saturday anyway.

Think there was only one unbearable one here and he's was always like this....

I do however think tipp will win this one just because of the strenght of the team and if the lads have recovereged from the celebrations.... Galway team aren't as strong this year and really only have 2/3 top class forwards.... but you never know stranger things have happened!!

Did the GAA really say that Thurles was the fairest venue????That just defies befief.How is it fair to the hurling fan in the west of the county( Galway that is)who has well over 100 miles to drive to get to the game?Power in the GAA seems to rest with the Munster and to a lesser extent Leinster Counties with the rest of the Country having to make do with the crumbs from the table.

Read yesterdays interview with Padraic Maher. Just for all you posters who were on here saying that the venue for the u21 final was fixed last may and galway should quit whinging as they knew this all along, well the REAL FACTS came out today. The CCC in a letter to the Galway hurling board ADMITTED that the venue for the final wasnt fixed until August 30th a full NINE days after the semi finals were played. This just defies belief altogether.
