who is Niall Patterson??

pop down the road to Moycarkey Borris and ask them about him, they beat them on the way to the club all-ireland in 1983 which he was captain of the team, would Moycarkey have played against ye on the way to the mid title that year.... as if you were a county minor then you should have been on the thurles sarsfields first team??

What was the score or did they beat ye by much, and saying some of the moycarkey team that day wouldn't give away your identity.

Excellent thurlesblue....

You are either who you say you are or you asked your dad or googled it.... I know people from Moycarkey that was a bit before my time but i'll quiz them on it...

If you are who you say you are why can't you use your hurling knowledge to write posts instead of if's would and could's!!!!! Go on give it a try and surprise people.... it would be more interesting than your usual drival!!

But saying that if your posts dry up in september tipp will either have lost the all-ireland..... or you'll have gone back to school... I'm still not fully convinced.

Ah, Niall Patterson. he's actually from Cloughmills but played for Loughguile. Has had a few coaching nights in Cloughmills who by the way won the Junior Hurling Championship last week :-) Watch out for us if we win Ulster.

I'd forgotten about Seanie McGrath. He was a real livewire. Someone else mentioned Seanie O'Leary. Hardly the physique of a sportsman but he was some bit of stuff to hurl. For the life of me I can't recall Joey Towell of Dublin. Anyone know who is club was ?

I am reminded of :- Ringey, Martin Harney, Hopper McGrath, Ned Colfer, Vinnie Staples, Mick Jacob, John Fenton, Frankie Walsh, Willie John Daly, Tony OSullivan, Eddie OBrien, Seanie Barry, Paddy Barry x2, Tomás Ryan, Jamsie OConnor, Corrigans x2, Larry Guinan, Johnny OConnor, Jimmy Doyle, Larry Kiely, Johnny Kiely, Tom Cashman, Ollie OConnor and many, many more. SMALL MEN, BIG HEARTS AND LOADS OF SKILL.

Maroonatic, Sylvie would remember Joey Towell! He hurled with Eoghan Ruadh before they amalgamated with Plunketts. Was playing junior up until a few years ago I believe.

Joe Deane was an excellent corner forward.
What height is Paul Flynn?

Pat Carroll (RIP) from Offaly was a great player, not sure if he was over 6 foot either.
