Better stewarting would have sorted the problem.

Beautiful Meath Posted:
Could not believe it when I heard the whistle blow and Penrose stopped although this was terrible behaviour lets not forget what Bernard Brogan did against Meath the ref blew his whistle but he still popped the ball in the back of the net for safe measure penrose should of kept going, if it was disallowed because the whistle already went it was disallowed they would of moved on but that was very off putting I can only imagine

Your having laugh now: Meath are going to lecture the Dubs on sportsmanship.

This from a supporter of a team who cheated to win a Leinster Final. Where were the high moral standards on Monday after the Leinster Final ?.
One thing about Meath supporters is they are very balanced, they have a chip on both shoulders

Still all joking aside you have to admitt that blowing a whistle is rather tame compared to throwing Boiling hot cups of Tea at County footballers on the pitch!

Sorry I can't think of any songs on the subject but I'd like to make a point.

There was some idiot on the Hill who blew a refs whistle a few times during the Dublin / Tyrone game. It probably caused a moments hesitation during a couple of Tyrone attacks but I don't think that it had any influence on the outcome of the game. Now he (or she) is probably thinking that they're pretty clever (after all songs are being dedicated to them). But before returning for an encore they might just consider what would have happened if instead of a Tyrone forward pulling up or hesitating on the sound of the whistle it had been the Dublin backs and the forward had scored a goal as a result. Might not be quite such a good laugh telling the story in the Grave Diggers after the match - although grave digging might be required.

Question...

Were the stewarts afraid to inferfere with the offending whistlers? If so, will these stewards be disciplined by Croke Park management?
