754831 Funny how Kerry despise Cork most of the time but SUDDENLY defend them against 'the bih bad Nordies'. Strange that.........NOT! Kerry still whinging and sucking their bitter lemons.
I'm quiet enjoying the break. Pity though that when I come on here to read about Down, Kildare, Cork and Dublin I keep hearing the same old people obsessed with Kerry. As I've said before.......we're gone. get over it.
Best of luck to Down, Cork and Kildare. Would be delighted with any win. They all deserve it in diffferent ways.

The reason is simple, if you look at Kildare and what they have to offer compared to the more skillful Down team their is a big gap that the liily whites cannot fill as they do not have the players of quality. In any case, most would see Down as being a more challemging opposition to the rebells.

Questions...
1. Where does Dublin go from here? Is there a possibly to squeeze a Sam out of the current team into the future? 2. Have people lost faith in Cork ability to lift the Sam 2010 after their mediocre performance on Sunday? 3. Will Down see themselves as the potential All Ireland title holders now? 4. Have Kildare' got the forwards of quality that are needed at this level of competition? (rewritten)

Answers 1. Dublin are a young team, need to find another forward or two. There are no great teams about at present. Dublin well capable of lifting Sam next year or two. 2. Probably but its what the team thinks is more important. The fact that they are winning without playing well could be to their advantage. 3. Yes 4. Can't remember the question would have to go back to thread to read it and would probably lose what I have posted. So I'll just say Yes.

I don't think its very "funny" / "strange" at all. I suspect that most Kerry people will support the other Munster county in the same way that most Gaels from Ulster counties will support the remaining Ulster team and most in Leinster will cheer on Kildare. To do anything else would sound like begrudgary. Also most Kerry people I met after the Down quarter final were very gracious in defeat as indeed I have always found them to be after their many victories. The posters on HS are fellow members of the most important All Ireland institution in the country and the one which most fully recognises our national identity and are not part of a conspiracy against us.
Having said that I think its time that posters and GAA commentators in general dropped the term "northern football"

1. Where does Dublin go from here? Is there a possibly to squeeze a Sam out of the current team into the future? A. Their dreams are sensibly down the Liffey by now.
2. Have people lost faith in Cork ability to lift the Sam 2010 after their mediocre performance on Sunday? A. Yes no consistency!
3. Will Down see themselves as the potential All Ireland title holders now? YES YES YES
4. Have Kildare' got the forwards of quality that are needed at this level of competition? NO NO NO!!!

kildare have more natural scoring forwards that you havin a clue about.. i dont know what your problem is but kildare HAVE GOT THE BEST FORWARDS IN THE COUNTRy!!!!! eamon callaghan and james kavanagh have got players of the month for the last 2 months and there kildare forwards. .they wouldn get awards for not being able to score kavanagh has scored 2-13 so far not even ahead of john doyle who might miss a few but still score an average of 6 or 7 pints a game eamon callaghan can score from anywhere alan smith is a goal scoring machine eoin o flatherty can score from play or from free's. .and there is also paul cribbin and fionn dowling who can score although there very young they can score. . keith cribbin he plays in the wings but i know from playing against him that he can score our forwards are better all round forwards they can play anywhere.. jus watch there class on sunday!!!

I hope Kildare win it but I would not agree that they have the best forwards in the Country.

Their forwards remind me of the video sequel to the ending of the Benny Hill shows where Benny meanders from one end of the field to the other with the rest chasing him in meandering formation too. So it is with Kildare as their forwards meander not knowing where they are going either!!!

We have meandered our way to 2-17, 1-15 and 1-17 in our last three games up4it. I hope we keep meandering like that.

I think Kerry were beaten before they took the field against Down, with O'connor spouting his conspiracy theory nonsense, moral must have been bad. Everything I've seen of Down makes me think theyre over-rated. I think Kildare will dispose of them easily.
I fear Kildare, they have the fitness and strength to match Cork and theyre forwards are in much better form.
