sedico I take it you have been told or worked it out for yourself what is meant by "has the penny not dropped yet" since you previous query to me. Well, its looks like to some other Kildare posters haven't awoken to reality of their situation. Dream on if yous want to!

I'm presuming thats the situation your speaking of as you didnt exactly specify and thats the only situation happeing in this county! And to say we're snobbish? hahaha aw lord dont make me laugh! What exactly is your problem with kildare fans?? Spit out them sour grapes there, its getting a bit boring. And while we're on the subject of "awakeing to situations", have you woken to your own countys situation?? Our county has progressed since the last time we reached a semi final, which was against yourselves in 00, can you say the same about your own county? You still rely on padraig joyce for scores, he's not getting any younger, most countys have other players to step up to the mark now(and we do before you try saying we rely on johnny! jimmers, smithy, paidi, roli, leper, bolton, daryl, eoghan o flaherty are all capable of scores on our team now), no one stepped up tp the mark in your exit vs wexford, your manager who is a great GAA man has now resigned after being essentially undermined by your county board according to his interview in the independent, so have you awoken to the reality of your situation?? Because from where I'm sitting we're in the better situation so I'm lost as to what you mean??? You have also mentioned in other posts that we bet an average derry, monaghan and meath team, they are by no means average! Would galway have beaten them?? We did, and we can only beat what are in front of us, and we bet them well. So get over your issue with us, it really is just stupid!

I'm at a loss to explain why. We have been in the last two quarter finals yet Down have been struggling before this year.

No doubt Down are a huge step up from Meath but we're in with a shout.

I wonder are all these people lumping money onto Down at even money in the bookies if they are so confident? I'd think not!!

I think kildare have a great chance. I will be supporting down becuase they are neighbouring county and I know few people.

I must say loyallily that post is utter crap. I havent read what you were replying to but in all honesty you obviously cant defend the situation if all you have is "We're better than you". Thats like what children say when their 5. Teams Like donegal and galway are on a downward slide but everyone can see that. Just because people are from these counties doesnt mean they know less about football. Yes Loyalilly we did progress from that semi in 00.....we won the all Ireland in 01. What does Galway have to do with it? Can nobody have an opinion on another county without having an attack on their own? Stop being so sensitive. If you really want to compare the relative traditions, history and prestige attatched to Galway vs Kildare then fire away, but prepare to be embaressed. 9 - 4

in fairness jafallon I'd say Galway was specifically mentioned because of the attitude of your fellow county man/woman/child, namely West Rules. He's constantly dissing Kildare with ill-thoughtout uninformed opinion. People are entitled to give an opinion of who they think will win, however this posters only agenda is to have a dig at Kildare. So I'm sure loyallilly is just getting a small bit of revenge maybe.

I did think about posting up something about Galway myself, but I thought it wouldn't be fair on the real GAA fans in Galway.

Dublin are 7/4 to beat Cork on the day or 11/8 to qualify for the final.

I believe Dublin will beat Cork.

This Kildare team has HUNGER! The first bit of hunger it has had in years. We wont be beaten on the 29th and I dont care what the bookies are saying. Anyone who says Down will beat us out the gate are just plain dumb in my opinion :)

The way it has turned out this year you could toss a coin for the winner.Apart from Cork I dont think anyone would have forecasted the other three to get as far as they did.Cork have got as far as they have playing poorly.its theirs to lose.

i couldnt call kildare/down.that may go down to a bounce of the ball. fancy cork to beat us but i fancied armagh and tyrone to beat us too and that never happened. on paper cork by 3 but nothings won on paper.
