Hopefully we play well and get past kildare, keep reilly and crawford fit and meath can beat anyone on their day, forwards are prob the forward unit in the country, 3 big preformances needed but for the first time in a long time, meath have the toools to make a real bid for sam

What McGeeney said was "there is more in them". What was he supposed to say - 'what you saw out there is all we are capable of and there's nothing more in this team'? And he was 'out singing' because we had a match which in these crazy modern times usually means having to give an interview afterwards. The only reason Meath are off the radar is that they know all they will be asked about is the Leinster final.

its as simple as this..Kildare and ourselves are close to the same level and everyone is just tipping Kildare because nobody wants Meath to win after the Leinster final..

The Kildare game will be 50/50 i think... kildare obviously have built momentum last few games but Meath are always a tough team to beat, especially in championship and more so at dis stage with a semi final up for grabs.... Expect dis to be very close, actually tink if its a tight finish it will go Meaths way..

How are Meath coming in under the radar??
Everyday on here all we hear is Meath fans making crazy claims about their supposedly lethal forward line.

Yeah and the Clare footballers are savage. Sure even your hurlers were beaten out the Croke Park gate not too long ago.

If there is any justice in life; Meath will get there comuppence against Kildare on Sunday. An honourable team against a rugby league team. Up Mc Geeney and Kildare.

Stumps,
No one in Meath EVER falls for this 'oul WUM chatter - other counties trying to take the under-doggy position before a match - no reflection on you Stumps - every county tries (no pun intended) to pull this one before Meath play them, so that after the game they look justified with the gra-mo-chroi gob on them.

Simply put, Mhi don't care about the whos, whats, whens, wheres or whys - all Mhi teams ever care about is HOW TO GET THAT BALL BETWEEN THE POSTS....to do that, by total coincidence (ie no under the radar theories ) the current Meath Senior team happen to have 8 capable forwards with Jamie Queenie and Farrell on the bench. Meath will do this for all regulation and if there's added time..

As for Kildare...even Davy Dalton (a great player) left your parish for Meath - and it seems ye lads fancy yer chances Sundaa 'under the radar'...must be that 'bet with your heart' mentality you Curragh boys indulge ....and anyway we don't care, in short:
MEATH ARE ACOMIN' TO GET YA....

RoyalSt.Pat, go away with that stuff will ya. The way you're writing you'd swear we were afraid of Meath. Believe me we're not afraid of Meath for the simple reason is that they ain't good enough.

While Kildare are still a step below the top tier you can be guaranteed we're a step above Meath. Meath have overachieved over the past few years and are not a good team. Granted their forwards are a decent unit, their midfield and backs are woeful. I'd be extremely surprised of Kildare don't win by 6+.

A step above Meath? What makes you think this? The team has not overachieved at all they play to their full potential when it's needed and do not bottle it. Their backs are woeful you can't be serious can you? Eoghan Harrington is one of the best corner backs around and Kevin Reilly is a great full back, Chris O'Connor isn't half shabby either. The Meath half-backs mightn't be world beaters but they're far from woeful and Nigel Crawford is one of the best players around in my opinion and whoever partners him you can rest assured won't be woeful either.

I really can't believe how arrogant your post is and I reckon you will be seriously surprised come Sunday evening if that's how you think the game will go.
