broke my femur in two places after ten mins in to a junior b semi, went in full forward till half time. I had to clip the full back a couple of time to slow him down. At half time i got a good drink of water and got a lend of some cycling shorts to hold the leg together. didn't feel up to midfield so switched to centre half forward. when you have an injury like this you, as the game progresses, slow down even more, so to compensate I took out the centrehalf back, accidentally and managed to pop over the winning 50 ath the death. After the game i collapsed and was rushed to the local where I was revived and collapsed in a heap several hours later. Couldn't play in the final as i got a papercut in the postoffice the day before and it stung like hell.

I got a rotten dose of splinters in my hole sitting on the bench during my last season with the club. It fairly quickened my retirement I can tell you.
