Donegal Knives are out for JJ.

ah im not sure about playing murphy brick and CA in the same full forward line. youd be taking one of their legs off (2 left footers). Maybe playing Ca out at half but i dont like him there at all. If Brick is playing as well with the seniors id say stick him in ahead of colm. and then id have david walsh as roaming corner forward - leaving the 2 isolated inside.

What ye think?

Maybe so dstruction, but sure I'd say most full-forward lines in the country have 2 (at least) right-footers in there so it's no big issue. Colm can be infuriating at times with his play but you know what he's capable of when in the mood. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of lineup JJ goes with.

Some people don't like McFadden but on his day he's lethal. Scored 1-6 from play against Fanad in the Championship 2 weeks ago so the form's good with him anyway. Really expect him to get man of the match this weekend.

Yeah on his day McFadden's lethal (last time in a county jersey he was anywhere near good was 2005) Should have been dropped from the county panel years ago.

Lifford gael, McFadden is mercurial to say the least but to dismiss him out of hand altogether is very harsh. You're trying to tell me that we have enough attacking talent at our disposal that we can afford to leave the likes of him off the panel???

Its good to see all our supporters united in support of our team anyway, christ Down might not have to turn up at all the way we are fighting with each other.
Whoever is playing you should be there supporting them, (Only one good reason why you would not and that would be Financial), otherwise you are not a supporter.

Very apprehensive about this match!!!! Wouldn't like to put money on Down, as we are likely to be without 2 of our full back line and Ambrose Rodgers as well. Some counties can cope with injuries - we as a squad I feel are not capable of doing so, especially to our best players and big Ambrose is certainly one of our best.

Enjoyed my trip up to Ballybofey a few weeks ago for a league match. Would love to be there on Sunday for the Down game. I think Donegal will win. They seem to have a good record in BB in Champo games. Don't think it's the easiest place to go and win for visiting counties.

We have not got a great record in the last few years in Ballybofey, however all the games have been tight with no more than a point or two in it at the end. I expect it to be the same on Sunday, whatever way it goes it will be tight and tence, cant bloody wait.

Down to win by a single point, last kick of the game and Danny Hughes to step up and banish his fears from last time he visited BB

I have no confidence at all that donegal can prevail, normally every season i get this wild optimist notion, we're going to win Sam and throw a silly bet on us outright

not this year. reckon the whole McIver thing will come back to bite us on the **** and Down will beat us by 3
We'll need a backdoor option like last season to see july

I think you might be right. Daniel Hughes will want to prove himself after that miss in 2006. It would be freaky if he had to take a last minute free kick to secure the draw like in 2006.

Interesting to note that Donegal have named the exact same back 7 as what started against Armagh seven weeks ago for the 16 point hammering in Letterkenny for the last round of the league. Surely they can't have tightened up that much in such a short space of time... Think also that Kavanagh should be starting in the middle and have Leo Mc Loone or Mark Mc Hugh wing forward with one of them dropping back to pick up possession between the two 45's. Just praying that its a dry day cos i think it will just give us a better chance.

Would have preferred to see McFadden start as I think he's always worth a half to prove himself. You know then whether he's up for it or not, which is a risk of sorts but when he's up for it he's brilliant and if he's not then you have Molloy coming on bursting with confidence to replace him. Don't fancy McFadden to do much coming off the bench for some reason. Having said that, reports are that Molloy is flying in training and deserves his place so it's not a major problem.

The main problem is Martin Clarke. It looks like Cass is being set up to man mark him which would be fine but leaves you with Big Neil and Monaghan at mid-field making it one of the slowest mid-fields out there. Would like to see Martin McElhinney get a run there. Think he's a real option as a long term partner to Neil.

Paul Durcan will make at least one massive mistake on Sunday, but he'll probably also stop a ball going over the bar.
