Greengrass i see and respect your point but im stil not convinced ther is anywhere near the quality around now in abundance like there was in the 60s 70s 80s..Yes there were landslides and poor attendances for mismatches.. look at this weekends attendances? Look at the national league final attendance?... But championship was knock out those days and far more competitive at provincial level than the present day..Kerry v Cork for example in a Munster final meant far more to players and supporters in those days than now cos the loser was out...Nowadays the league is a washout with teams saving ther players for a run in the championship..Years ago it was used as a stepping stone for the first round...knockout..The skill level has dropped nowadays.. its hard to watch......

HORSE.... Whos shouting!! Loyal posted a thread i replied.. He basis his knowledge on statistics he reads on Hoganstand.......example.. Tony Scullion played his best football at corner back but Loyal2 theroyal names him as the best full back because the stats on here shows Scullion won All Ireland at full back... Same applies to Matt Connor....So basicly he goes on stats he reads...Ive seen the players i named.. And ive also seen them play in their best positions which ive named whether they won all ireland medals in those positions or not....And as regards me being in the UK whats that got to do with any post??

Dan O'Keeffe would surely be in goal for having record number of All Irelands for a keeper with 7

Richiej I saw an awful lot of footballers and matches in the seventies and eighties and I would disagree entirely with you when you state that there were a lot more good footballers then than now. It's much more difficult to win an All-Ireland today. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
