The summer wind came blowin' in
From across the sea
It lingered there to touch your hair
And walk with me

All summer long
we sang a song
And then we strolled that golden sand
Two sweethearts and the summer wind

Like painted kites, those days and nights
They went flying by
The world was new beneath the blue
Umbrella sky

Then softer than a piper man
One day, it called to you
I lost you I lost you to
The summer wind

The autumn wind
And the winter winds
They have come and gone
And still those days
Those lonely days
They go on and on
And guess who's sigh`s
His lullabies through nights that never end
My fickled friend,
The summer wind
The summer wind warm summer wind
Mmm the summer wind

In fariness the Havelock square end does look a bit stupid but there was some issues about the blocking of sunlight to residents houses or some such.

The IRFU have the most to loose regarding the attendance because as its stands they are comforably filling Croke Park. However that could change if the Irish team suffers a drop in fortunes and then 50,000 will probably be about right I'd say. Maybe a little small but not terribly so. Any rugby heads agree/disagree?

The FAI I think are spot on with the attendance. 50,000 is pretty accurate. There isn't that much genuine interest in soccer in this country. Obviouly the 'Olé, Olé' boys inflate the figures but there was never really any trouble getting tickets before the move to Croker when there was a smaller capacity then will be the case now.

In fairness 50,000 would have been just about right for the football team, but it is nowhere near enough for our rugby team. It's also interesting to note that the next two Heineken Cup Finals have just been awarded to Cardiff and London respectively, and while the IRFU do expect to get a Heineken Cup Final within the next few years, it is easily the smallest stadium of the five (London, Paris, Cardiff, Edinburgh & Dublin) that can host the Heineken Cup Final. They will also never get a Champions League Final, as I think the minimum for that is 60,000+, so you really do wonder leaving aside the fact that it is way to small for rugby internationals anyway, why did they just not build a new stadium somewhere else if they were restricted to 50,000 seats?

It looks the part but for the Oriel Park size stand behind one of the goals.
Very like the Emirates, think the same crowd built it.
Wish people would stop whinging, we now have two class modern stadiums in Dublin.
It wasnt until soccer & rugby moved to Croker that you werent mortfied watching Irish teams on BBC or Sky thinking what must the rest of Europe think of the dump we play in.
