Monagea 1-7 - 1-7 Killeedy

It was a typical local west encounter with determination snatching a draw for Monagea.Killeedy had only themselves to blame however, with over 7 goal chances
in the last 15 mins. of the match when they should have been taking their points.Mark Kelly was the star of the show for Monagea keeping them in the match with three fantastic saves.

It was a rubbish match I heard. Two poor teams.

I think Killedy will beat Tour in the relegation semi final. Simply because Tour are missing too many players. Any truth that the London based players are coming home for this match to ensure Tour do not go down to Junior A next season.

tournafulla, kileedy, pallasgreen, mungret......all recent senior clubs in a relegation battle to drop down to junior......i think this tells us that most of the better teams in intermediate would beat most of the poorer teams in our senior championship!

memory73, i think that there's some junior teams who would give the weaker senior teams a run for their money. there's four or five senior teams who should be relegated right now.

i suppose your own county is hugely successful this year given that you are spending your time looking at the forum for the intermediate limerick championship

anyone think that there might be a shock in quarters......could monaleen beat ballybrown or monagea beat athlacca? the other two quarters are so close to call it wouldnt be a surprise if any of the 4 teams wound up in the semi's

if there was a shock i think it could be monaleen beating ballybrown.....heard monaleen are training well and they are coming in under the radar, everyone expects ballybrown to walk it, so all the pressure will be on them!

memory73, there is no chance of monaleen beating ballybrown. Monaleen only made it to the quarter finals because they got lucky and ended up in a group with two very weak teams. Monaleen do have 3 or 4 nice hurlers but the rest of them are very limited hurlers and Ballybrown won't have any trouble in knocking them out.

you are more than likely right cove, probably the only team that will beat ballybrown will be themselves, but then this happened last year, against liberties where they were strongly fancied!

b/brown cud end up getting caught by m/leen but i think m/leen involved in f/ball won,t help their preparation.i agree that b/brown,s biggest opposition cud be themselves, however i do believe their feet are being kept on the ground whatever other people mite say on the site.

what do ye reckon of hospital herbertstowns chances of making the semis against a tough and determined newcastlew-west side who wont give anything, heard hospital are boosted by the return of damien reale and 2 of their players who were in australia for most of the summer

Admins; may I respectfully suggest that you take a more sensible approach to moderating comments on the forums?

Regarding the comments on this page from "Up_the_Banner" may I please ask why you saw fit to approve his/her comments?

Do you feel that it is fair on the genuine supporters of Limerick GAA who wish to have reasonable and fair discussion on Limerick related matters (such as the 2010 Intermediate hurling championship) should be subjected to the likes of steel and Up_the_Banner who wish not to contribute?

Can you not see that these posters only wish to annoy people?

For what reason do you let people like this hi-jack and ruin good threads??

Do you not care about the users of your site who don't use your site to cause trouble and annoyance?

I know that you will not publish this post (which is bizarre considering some of the stuff you do publish. This post will not cause anyone offence.) but if possible could you please respond by e-mail to the adress I registered with because I as someone who used to enjoy reading through Limerick threads I really am starting to get fed up that this is being allowed to go on.

Re: jacksback

H/H and NCW game is very hard to call. If NCW can get their forwards into the game I think they will progress. Their backs have been excellent all season, the last game was the first game this year that the forwards clicked.

H/H are a tidy team who will fancy their chances. I predit NCW to win by 4 points.

so we expect ballybrown to beat monaleen and athlacca to progress against monagea....still not convinced that glenroe have what it takes to beat kildimo, as far as i know glenroe have never beaten kildimo at intermediate, also i think ncw will shade their match with h/h, saw ncw in the group stages against kildimo, great match with two very good sets of backs keeping both sets of forwards at bay...anyone know when the matches are on??

i agree, ballybrown and athlacca look strongest and will beat monaleen and monagea, anyone of the other 4 teams could come through to a final if the draw pairs athlacca and ballybrown in a semi!!
