Ballybrown may have peaked too early, has happened before that they collapsed under the pressure.

Time will tell, but at the moment they are flying

my god that is some beating that k/dimo got,it might bring some of them back down to earth as they seem to think they are a super team.i know griffin is gone but he wasn,t going to make a 23 pint difference.maybe this coming together with p/kenry at 16 and minor and 21 doesn,t do a lot for players who don,t make the chosen 15.hard to see some of these players waiting around if their getting no chance to play for their local club but instead have to play with an amalgamation.its not not to bad but this amalgamation play in division 2 or b competitions, taking the handy option again!!!

Wouldnt read too much in to the kildimo/ballybrown game lads.. Kildimo were without five of their main men and and lost Adrian garvey and Alan Brown early on to injury. Granted Ballybrown lined out without most of their regulars aswell, they have a very good junior team to call on and have the luxury of being able to rest players without weakening their team. Unfortunatly for kildimo they dont have that luxury. Look at the hammering ballybrown gave them in the junior on tuesday night.. Kildimo finished the game with their sub goalie playing at wing forward and were forced to leave the injured john chawke on the field because they had no subs. Still thought kildimo could have done a lot better with what they had but they didnt seem interested, going by their body language at half time and during their warm up. If they get their act together im sure they'll still give knockaderry a right good game.

As for ballybrown it is easy to see why they are everybodys favourites to win the intermidate. Two big wins in the first two rounds of the championship has set them up nicely. At the moment I would say that they are much better than athlaca. They have an excellent panel of young players and the only thing that will beat them is themselves. There is a few big egos in that dressing room and it may be there downfall later in the year. I was very impressed with Kyle Loftus at centre back. I think hes a real prospect and dont know why he isnt on Justin Mcarthys panel this year.

Ballybrown peaked 2 early 2years ago when they got beaten by mungret n the last game of the group after a break, they were fly n it back then 2 think they won the city senior champ that year and looked like certs 4 the county but ran out of steam when the go n got tough. last year they got off 2 a slow start n the final and liberties took a good lead going n2 2nd half and hung on.wat team n the champ could live wit senior teams we can see liberties and bruff get n beat n there opening 2 games and out of it already.maybe glenroe r strong enough 4 it they seem 2 have big men all over the field and i dont no wat 2 say about dromin/ath they seem 2b n no mans land the last few years go n up and down.when u go up u must stay there.would monaleen be strong enough 2 get back up and stay there they should have the strenght and numbers and some of d best hurlers n limerick playing wit them.any other comments r suggestions out there im sure more of ye lads no more teams situations better than me.

ballybrown would have the best chance of stayin up if they go up... cant see glenroe having the best chance, have not done much the last number of years!! monaleen are not good enough to go up but there are a few poor teams up there also( e.g cluaghaun)

I played with Monaleen for 2 seasons & I know the set up there.

In my view not good enough to make it back up for a few years. They were senior when I was there & the set up was not that good.

A challange game was played at one stage against a Junior A side & the winning margin was only 3 points.

In my time there it was all football as they were after winning county the previous year & got to the Munster Final so hurling was kinda out of the lime-light.

WESTOUTCAST DONT THINK YOU WILL SEE THAT PAIRING IN THE QUARTER FINAL ,I EXPECT PALLASGREEN TO BEAT NEWCASTLE WEST AND KNOCKADERRY TO BEAT KILDIMO AND MUNGRET WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE AGAIN TO BEAT A WOUNDED BLACKROCK IN THEIR LAST GROUP GAME. IF RESULTS GO MY WAY KNOCKADERRY WILL TOP THE GROUP

Fair point.
I think Knockaderry will struggle for the remaining of the season. There is tension within the camp I believe, but we will have to wait and see. I would hate to think they would manage if they had one or two injuries to key players.

Pallasgreen are a good team that were just a bit unlucky this year. If they had held their heads and nerve they would be sitting top of the group and looking forward to a county quarter final.

All to play for in 2 weeks time.

i also attended the b/brown v mungret game.mungret were a disrgace,no score at h/time and they ended with 6 pints of which i,m almost certain 5 came frm frees.b/brown didn,t have full team either and cud have won by another 10 pints as they hit the crossbar twice and had numerous wides.
