its prob ballybrown & athlacca who are favourites but its a very open championship in my opinion.the winners on thurs night between h/h & blackrock have a good as chance as any.it will become a lot clearer in the next 2 weeks tho hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 11/05/2010 17:48:02 644013 Link 0 |
Have to agree with hitman, cant see beyond athlaca or ballybrown for the title. Tour are the team coming down and they are no great shakes, saw them twice last year against my club Claughaun & against Garryspillane and they are very weak, Ballybrown would mix it with a lot of Senior sides and will prob be the winners. Should be an interesting weekend of hurling Dirk_Diggler (Limerick) - Posts: 12 - 11/05/2010 20:15:11 644192 Link 0 |
i wil try to predict the games this wkd.pallas & knockaderry to win in group 1.i think my club h/h can get the better of blackrock.plez god we can.will be a tough battle.glenroe to beat mungret in group 2.ballybrown & monagea in group 3.athlacca & tournafulla in group 4.i cud be wrong with them but as long as h/h win i wont mind hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 12/05/2010 19:52:40 645294 Link 0 |
I think we could have the 2 finalist 4 top and bottom on d 1st weekend;Ballybrown v Dromin Atlacca county final and Tour v Ballybricken in d relagation final.so will b good indicator who will win it out this weekend also if blackrock go out and put down a marker v h/h it will make it alot harder 2 predict then u also have monaleen, killedy, knockaderry and glenroe knock n on d door d last few years and mungret depending on d mood they r n could also b n wit a shout its got d makings of a great championship......again and fair play 2 south liberties 4 stick n at it after all them county final defeats there is,t 2 many players that would have had d heart 2 keep try n year n year out after after so much herat ache.best of luck 2 them. FORWARD1, Tour and Ballybricken are in the same group so can't meet in the relegation final. Tour to qualify out of the group with d/a. Collymore (Limerick) - Posts: 89 - 13/05/2010 13:04:40 645832 Link 0 |

Well done to H/H last night who put in a fine performance to overcome blackrock. It was a fine first half which saw Blackrock set down an early marker racing to a four point lead. However they seemed to lay off the pace and let H/H back into the game giving them a two point lead into the break. They were lucky to do so with a fine save from Aaron Murphy denying Kevin Palmer just before the break. However in the second half Blackrock couldnt seem to muster the fine performances of last year which saw them overcome the likes of Fermoy, Aerhlow and Black and Whites. H/H were first to every ball and seemed to be getting the breaks. Yet another great performance from captain Richie McCarthy could do nothing to stem the tide as constant pressure from H/H gave them the scores they deserved with Sean Deegan having a noteworthy performance. However Blackrock were able to stay within touch of H/H despite playing poorly. Scores were level with 4minutes to go when the ball fell to Ken Douglas in space with his shot just dropping short to the goalkeepers hand. From the clearence H/H struck at the other side with a goal swiftly followed by a point from the resulting puck out to put a shine to the board. A well deserved victory for H/H with a good performance over Blackrock who despite a fine opening failed to click for the rest of the game. jacieco (Limerick) - Posts: 1 - 14/05/2010 10:03:57 646761 Link 0 |
Sorry didt know who woz n wat group.Good win 4 H/H just shows the step up 2nthis grade is,t easy.Who played well? FORWARD1 (Limerick) - Posts: 17 - 14/05/2010 10:12:15 646769 Link 0 |
for blackrock they seemed to depend too much on richie mccarty who had a fine game from play n scored most of his frees, brian moloney did well at center back, as did richie murphy at half back but his stricking wasnt the same as last year as he hasnt much done since. dave moloney was quiet by his standards. on the hh side donie reale was the outstanding performer, sean deegan did very well at center forward as did conor wallace in the corner and keith o'connor in the other corner who scored 1.2, paudie reale was solid at full back, mark deegan was moved from full forward back to center back for most of the 2nd half and played well. he replaced an injured damian reale who finished the match at full forward. just a note on the referee who was very poor n seemed to wreck the game with some awful decisions and also to the county board due to the fact that it wasnt a great evening it was nearly dark by the end of the match. a 7.15 throw in would have made a massive difference. well done to hh as they roll on to play mungret next week as blackrock play glenroe in another local derby. i think both of last nights teams will qualify! brightspark (Limerick) - Posts: 25 - 14/05/2010 12:25:47 646972 Link 0 |

great win for ballybrown putting down a marker for the rest... the thing is ballybrown didnt even play that well, it was just that kileedy were brutal! Will_Ferrell_09 (Limerick) - Posts: 123 - 15/05/2010 10:42:21 647723 Link 0 |
great win for H/H thurs night.played fairly well but we can play much better.we have been starting games fairly slowly so hopefully we can get outta the blocks better on friday night against mungret in bruff.a vital game for both teams.the match vs blackrock cud have gone either way but the better team just about sneaked it.blackrock are here for the long haul & are a fine team so to get the win against the all ireland champions was fantastic.mungret will be disappointed after losing to glenroe so its all or nothing for them against us.i think we will win but til be a fierce tough battle.ballybrown have to be raging hot favourites for the county after the hiding they gave killeedy so god help us all hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 15/05/2010 19:03:55 648074 Link 0 |
a great win for newcastle west against knockaderry! ncw won by 4 pts. a great match, if ncw beat pallasgreen they cud be in with a chance of topping the group. the magpies might be a surprise package this year. they must however keep their disipline to succeed. illuminati (Limerick) - Posts: 33 - 15/05/2010 21:48:24 648193 Link 0 |
