re: captainmac and cloonan... ye're comments are some load of nonsense... ballybrown set sights on munster?? i was very very close to their set up and can tell you there was not even talk of a county final so where you've got this notion from i dont know... maybe a supporter you know mentioned it and he is the idiot but i can tell you in the camp nothing was mentioned... and as for you cloonan most hated club?? i doubt that, maybe certain clubs who may be jealous of ballybrown for some reason dont like them, the likes of south liberties, kilmallock, Dromin Athlacca, bruff, Caherline, granagh ballingarry, croom and many more all have a healthy respect and rivalary with ballybrown as do ballybrown for them, it is idiotic comments from the likes of u that carry these notions!! i wonder what club you are from?? and no bottle if u were at both last years county final and last weeks semi final you would have seen a great county final in which the break of a ball swung it for liberties and last week ballybrown never preformed and were undone by 2 great saves, played poorly and still could have got a draw against a strong and determined hospital side who were very deserving winners on the day.

Re: plainandsimple
I think you are fighting a losing battle. You say Ballybrown never once mentioned anything about a county final?? I just cant beleive that. Every club at what ever level mentions county finals as their targets. At the start of the year every club aims for county final and to win it. Im laughing at ur silly statement.

well the aim as you can imagine for any team was to win it but my statement regarding not mentioning a county final was in regard to just lookin at the the semi final and no further, obviously to get there was the aim that goes without saying, your stating the obvious. the talk was of the match at hand in which the team failed in winning not winning a final as that was not possible as there was a tough game ahead

what a pity some people hav such an opinion of b/b but then maybe these people are bitter towards a lot of clubs.as regards the final it is going to be hard to call.emmets and b/landers won,t help in the preparation for replay.i still think glenroe will get past d/a.the final will be a fierce battle and i wud have a sneaky feeling h/h mite just pull it off.

The replay could possilby go the athlacca for the simple reason steve walsh is involved in emmets, bally and glenroe. Also glenroes main players all play football. athlacca have only 1 thing to concentrate on.They will be hoping Bally beat Adare this wkend in fball.

i believe that glenroe will win it out, they are creating a pile of scoring opportunities even if they are not taking them all! They should have beaten athlacca last day out if they were more accurate and saw them in the quarter final against kildimo as well when they played a great second half into the wind!!
they will carry too much experience and physical strength for hh in the final! hh have a nice young team, reckon next year will be their championship!!!

I don't agree with the experience or physical strength bits as HH, Ballybrown & Athlacca all have that in abundance & no matter who made it to the final it was going to be about on the day.

But I do agree with you about Glenroe being potential winners. I think they will beat Dromin Athlacca and then in the final it is anyone's. Glenroe won the group game 0-14 to 0-11 and both HH & Glenroe have very strong defences. HH have only conceded goals in one game (V Mungret) and Glenroe too are keeping the goals out.

I go for Glenroe to beat DA and possibly shade a very close final. Whether it is Glenroe or DA who face HH, it should be a cracker.

dromin/athlacca 0.22 glenroe 0.20 AET glenroe were 11pts to 3pts ahead at halftime.athlacca played savage hurling after that.D/A will prob be hot favourities to beat H/H next sat & have serious momentum after that comeback.what do lads think of the final?

hitmanhart "savage hurling" you were obviously at the wrong game because this game for the second time was desperate. athlacca's tactics were all wrong. 3 man midfield was a poor decision and it showed at the end of the first half. they played way too deep with the wind which also made scores hard to come by. they never looked like scoring a goal and pulling away from a very poor glenroe side. they tried the short puck outs and messed them up completly and conceded a few handy points as punishment. the game turned into a game of frees more than anything with glenroe only scoring something like 3 points from play. athlacca scored about 10 points from frees which was half there total score. glenroe forwards werent the most clinical and should have really got a few more scores with the chances they had against an athlacca back line that looked shakey at times. poor game overall very dogged in the midle of the field. like watching 30 greyhounds after 1 hare.

limerickeye i was at that match and glenroe had an 8 point lead at half time the 1st half was poor but the 2nd half and all of extra time was good hurling to watch hard and fair it could have gone either way i think athlacca will beat hh next saturday by about 6 points

"hitmanhart"
Ur obviously from Athlacca and ur really excited bout the win.wasn't a good spectacle to watch.Glenroe backs dominated Athlacca forwards and likewise at other side.

Realmano8 if you look at previous pages ul realise i am not from athlacca.just stating my opinion on the match like everyone else is entitled to.no matter how good or bad a match is, that was serious scoring in fairness.

Thought the semi-final was a fine game with some excellent scores. Glenroe were more wasteful than D/Athlacca and the 25 yard free miss near the end was very costly. I think H/H will more than match D/A in the final and wouldn't be surprised if they sneaked it.
