This years championship is wide open I think. Ballybrown,d/athlacca,Tournafulla prob top 3 in most peoples minds but the toughest group in my opinon is h/h,mungret,glenroe & all Ireland champions Blackrock. A great opener between h/h & blackrock in store.3 county under 21B titles between them in the last 4 yrs.granted h/h had 4 kilteely lads involved last yr but shows the talent h/h have after beating croom in a 3 match epic in 2006 that will never be forgotton in h/h & an excellent kilulta gaels team last yr.blackrock beat kilulta gaels in 2008 as well.not forgetting glenroe won it in 04.hard to know who will come out of this group.mungret a very good team also.wat do lads think? hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 03/04/2010 12:06:19 607869 Link 0 |
Are Banger and Stephen Walsh going to hurl for Glenroe after the club going against them in the recent 'Justin Gate' vote? I mean, I saw where Glenroe had a 1 point win over Blackrock in the South Champioship recently. Did Banger & Stephen Walsh hurl in this game? I'm out of the country so am no way up to date with what's happening in South Limerick. shoulderghost (Limerick) - Posts: 863 - 03/04/2010 12:39:38 607888 Link 0 |
shoulderghost wouldnt read too much into game as both teams played understrenght teams due to injuries etc (plus it was the delayed 2009 championship) poor game by all accounts mike o brien didnt play over what happened at county board meeting stephen walsh did play but got injured and had to be taken off with a bad hand injury think he broke his thumb Kenlim (Limerick) - Posts: 864 - 03/04/2010 15:29:43 607997 Link 0 |
any results from the all county league during the week?only a month to championship.looking forward to being able to forget the sorry mess that is the county setup wen the club action starts hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 10/04/2010 15:21:13 613564 Link 0 |
Ballybricken and H/H drew. H/H were missing a gud few i think. Monaleen beat caherline by 17pts. Think the latter were missing players too. placedballs1 (Limerick) - Posts: 42 - 12/04/2010 10:58:14 614561 Link 0 |
i was at the h/h vs ballybricken match.h/h were missing 11 players due to soccer and injuries.didnt think we wud even get a draw with practially a junior b team.great result. hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 12/04/2010 16:51:34 615113 Link 0 |
Caherline are having similar problems, they fielded a junior b team which included 4 or 5 intermedites against Monaleen, big division 2b soccer match on the same night!!! but i'm sure ye've all heard about that huge soccer game. pullhaard (Limerick) - Posts: 195 - 15/04/2010 15:55:57 618432 Link 0 |
blackrock have made an impressive start 2 good wins against dromin atlacca 1-12 to 1-11 and hospital herbertstown 16 to 2-9 Kenlim (Limerick) - Posts: 864 - 15/04/2010 16:51:25 618532 Link 0 |
I hear Glenroe beat Pallas (no details) and both Stephen Walsh and Banger were both back respectively, from injury and otherwise. shoulderghost (Limerick) - Posts: 863 - 15/04/2010 17:17:17 618580 Link 0 |
i dont know wat other ladz think but i am fair sick of the soccer being played some of the same nites as the the hurling and football leagues.same crap again last year with the soccer crowd fixing the games for the same nites.they have had since early august to get games played.its being done on purpose.league matches cant be judged coz of clubs having weak teams at the moment.its a joke hitmanhart (Limerick) - Posts: 496 - 15/04/2010 20:10:53 618786 Link 0 |
Newcastlewest seem to be flying it early on with league wins over Monagea and Knockaderry in particular. depeche (Limerick) - Posts: 40 - 16/04/2010 10:39:17 619091 Link 0 |

Glenroe, Blackrock and Hospital Herbertstown, all South Limk rivals, in the same group, plus Mungret should make for some tasty (and timberish) clashes! shoulderghost (Limerick) - Posts: 863 - 20/04/2010 14:01:04 623348 Link 0 |
ballybrown going well beat bruff and drew with adare in A.C.S.H.L they will go close, think one of the west teams will be relegated. sporting (Limerick) - Posts: 303 - 20/04/2010 15:58:05 623559 Link 0 |
