Well the Galway 'Tribe' ensure Tyrone totter on the brink of relegation following this 1-15 to 0-14 defeat to Galway! lrvinestownGael (Fermanagh) - Posts: 847 - 21/03/2010 19:10:32 594164 Link 0 |
Well what have our northern redhands to say today? Squirming I would imagine at Galway's great win today. It was brilliant considering we were without our main scoring forwards at the moment. Cannot understand why Tyrone are sinking this yar but at the way things are going they will go nowhere in the championship unless their favourite backdoor helps them salvage some respect. Again well done to our lads. WestRules (Galway) - Posts: 271 - 21/03/2010 19:28:28 594205 Link 0 |
I am disappointed and hurt by Tyrone's struggling performances in the league so far and even the win over Cork didn't bring much excitement. However, at the end of the day its only the league and its taking Tyrone longer to come out of the starting blocks than usual. Nevertheless, Im still optimistic about us come championship time because theres no denying the quality of our boys when it really matters. redhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 153 - 21/03/2010 20:19:09 594274 Link 0 |
We'll have really gone to pot whenever we are playing Division Four football and hurling like our illustrious web-footed friends in Fermanagh omaghredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 3656 - 21/03/2010 20:52:44 594343 Link 0 |
right lads tyrone seem to be running out of excuses when harte is complaining that the grasssurface wasn't what he would have desired for the players at Tuam today. what rubbish. catch yourselves on and accept that you have lost the plot. It is non-untypical of Tyrone in the league. This last few years we seem to just hang on to top-flight football in the last game of the season. It was a weakened Tyrone side but of course so was Galway. In saying that the loss of Meehan may have actually have helped Galway as other players are now taking responsibility. Galway seem to be adapting quite well to the Armagh Template, with crossfield attacks and saturated defence. Their ball handling has been very good as well. They maintain possession very sensibly even patiently moving the ball backwards 30-40 years until a player becomes available. The way Galway run down the clock shows the confidence they have on the ball now. Joe is doing something right there. John Boss (Tyrone) - Posts: 865 - 21/03/2010 21:23:21 594406 Link 0 |

I see the mayotyroneman is very quiet following Tyrone's defeat yesterday. WestRules (Galway) - Posts: 271 - 22/03/2010 10:07:00 594614 Link 0 |
Yes Galway poster we said the 'mayotyroneman' plus many other so called Tyrone supporters are remarkably quiet today!!!! lrvinestownGael (Fermanagh) - Posts: 847 - 22/03/2010 10:31:10 594636 Link 0 |
I wouldnt worry too much about the league. It all comes down to the championship and thats where Tyrone will be there at the business end. sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2926 - 22/03/2010 10:50:03 594663 Link 0 |
think its time to rebuild - i think most of the older heads (who gave us great days and 3 all irelands) aren't what they were and collectively don't haveanother all ireland in them but if we concentrate a few seasons on blooding the really young it will work out in the long run! I think mickey should go and get someone to bring in fresh ideas! DiscoStu (Tyrone) - Posts: 213 - 22/03/2010 11:22:03 594700 Link 0 |

No call for any knee jerk reactions lads. I have to say I was relatively confident that we would have picked up two points yesterday given the injury problems that Galway are suffering and the hammering they got at the hands of Kerry. But obviously that hammering hurt Galway and they were a more determined outfit. I think as they could also have been dragged into the relegation dogfight had they lost yesterday this certainly made yesterdays match a tough one. CharlieHarper get a grip man. Where have you been during the league to come up with a whitewash analysis like that? I was at every game and wasn't very impressed yesterday as we should have comfortably seen off Galway. dromorethegreat (Tyrone) - Posts: 181 - 22/03/2010 11:55:51 594754 Link 0 |
"fortyfive" please leave 'The_Lug_Coa' alone. You appear from your username a dinosaur from the past and your referenence to a college in Fermanagh is incorrect mate as it is called the South West College. There are many lugs up and down the country who may not have the best education but whose views should not be rdiculed because of their standard of englisn. You sound pompous in your statement but I notice your have nothing worthwhile to cintribute about your own county's plight. gaalltheway (Fermanagh) - Posts: 803 - 22/03/2010 12:05:29 594776 Link 0 |
