match uniteds squad up against bayerns and they are average. bayern will shock a lot of people when they hammer united. since the juve game bayern have been playing great football. eventually their squad (best in the world after barca's and madrids) seems to be filling some of its potential

Manchester CITY have a better squad than two of those named.

pato IS the second best dribbler in the world.

and bayern do have the 3rd best squad in the world (who else would be ahead of them, hardly united with has beens and full of average joe hatchet men).

and ribery is better than anything on the united squad bar maybe rooney.

United Barca again for me fortyfive. I've booked the hotel and flights already, we owe them one after us not turning up last year. Sorry I've put my predictions on Breff's thread, its very similar. United v Bayern will be an excellent game they are both playing well at present. If we beat them you would have to fancy us to get to the final.

I see Sir Alex at it again.

Firstly by saying Gerrard should have been banned he admits that Rio was guilty. Fergie therefore stands guilty of taking a frivolous case to appeal, in other words, he cheated, again.

he then tries his usual stunt of suggesting that those who did not play the game know nothing about it. He wants unemployed managers to be the FA discipline committee, to watch the TV videos to judge incidents. He says the advantage is that they have played the game.

Obviously in future in murder and rape cases we will have jury's comprising murderers and rapists.

Now I only think SOME United fans are stupid, but Sir Alex obviously thinks they are all stupid.

firstly you arent the authority in judging dribblers so you THINK he is the 2nd best dribbler. i dont agree, he's second best at milan in my opinion next to ronaldhino. amusing how you seem to rate him alongside messi when he dribbles more like ronaldo (who according to you cant dribble) with pace and tricks rather than using his hips in tight places to put defenders off balance like messi. i cant really be bothered arguing with you though. i like pato messi is brilliant and your just an ABU who wont reason. uniteds poor squad is doing ok so far

They certainly are.

So what does that tell us about the state of football?

could be a very good year for united fans, really have to fancy them to reach the final as the top 4 sides are on the other side of the draw. and if you make a final anything can happen on the night as it did in 99 against bayern munich, just a quick question for utd fans, would ye sacrifice utd winning the champions league for the national team [england] winning the world cup?. as it really would be a huge boost for your league.

speedy, ronaldo rarely beats his man. he'll do tricks and pass it off. this is what happens most of the time. pato actually beats his man when he decides to take him on. he caused havoc at times down uniteds wing. made evra look like a fool on several occassions

looks like one part of the treble is almost secured, the league is in the bag i fear after the results today in fairness the best team always wins the league, so credit where its due, could be a great year for ye brit lovers as both united and england both look to have great chances to win the champions league and world cup for england respectively.

You can get 50,000/1 on that treble.

Yes rsenal will win the league but they don't have any English [players.

patrique, the treble pays 45/1 so says the paddypower calculator, 10/11 for the league 13/5 for the cl and 11/2 for the world cup.

Oh so the capital letters mean it is true, of course, what were we thinking!

Very bad taste with the murderers bit patrique. It is both factually inaccurate and in poor humour.

Indeed it would be good for Barca to remind Utd how football should be played. I mean Rooney is nearly playing well enough for a big European team to snap him up next season although Utd, being a selling club, will welcome that.

If you had pressed return a few times and capitalised a few UNNECESSARY words, you'd pass for Patrique with that comment.

32 wll bayren beat utd by more than milan did last week, Remember you showed what you really know about football with that prediction. If UTD beat bayren now you might aswell give it away(the knowledge packed free lessons you keep handing out to all us less knowledgeable people)

592429 United have a good record against Bayern, won one, lost 48 or something like that so no worries there.

however, Bayern only qualified on a dreadful ref blunder, and teams like that can flourish.

Both good going forward, both have awful defences.

Could be interesting.

Who do Arsenal play in the semi?

Arsenal v Inter in semi

draw looks good for utd to make the final...and barca have to be the the favourites to progress from the tougher side of the draw...keeping rooney fit is key....won a few pound on the racing last week so stuck the loose change from my paddy power account on utd to win the league and the champions league along with villa to get CL place...28/1 utd looking good, hopefully the villians can get on the move
