Kerry is very underrepresented on here. But beware, many so called "Kerry" men, are in fact, yep, you guessed it..Mayo men!
The real Kerry men tend to appear here post July. Kilkenny is another strangely under represented county on HS. They are all out hurling.
Ulster has huge representation here. 99% of which is positive, Some great nordie posters. Its ok to call them Nordies. Its an affectionate term! Brendtheredhand, Goodfella, Blu, Patrique, Ulsterman and many many more.
Paddyogall will at some stage annoy you. Give him a chance, he is just misunderstood.
Delboy is a self made legend. Good or bad is a matter of opinion on here,
Ralf is the running joke. Squid and Myself have history, but the ice has begun to thaw! Watch for him. He is very hot and cold!
Meath is a hotbed. The county with most posters. Loyal is the king of Tara on here. He is a decent fella, and a legend of HS. But he can be an awful man sometimes. Keep him warm and you will be ok.
Nocky and Colin are the local yellabellies. Good lads.

Getting mentioned by Liam in his post is my best moment so far on HS!!!

Ok, here's my 'how to become part of the HS family' guidelines..

1. Start threads - Youve already seemed to grasp this, well done. Word of warning though try to steer clear of Top 8's/Team of the decade/Your best 15 hurlers or footballers/ccccccccc etc.. weve seen them all before and we're sick of them

2. Row - If you disagree with someone or they disagree with you let them have it, you will gain respect for this.. Ive found the Wexford page good for this

3. Get the * taken - we've all been jeered for stupid posts or spelling mistakes etc.. ruanua and patrique will most likely be the people to help you with this

4. Use regularly - you need to become addicted and for HS to be the first thing you think about when you turn on the computer. regular users have better discussions

5. Be a bit of a WUM - wind people up but choose carefully who you wind up because if you wind up the wrong person you will lose respect. Never try to wind up liam, jim, dell, slayer, miketyson (# cough #)... etc you'll find out yourself who the good guys are as you go on...

6. Be an alrounder - Use the GAA,NON-GAA and county pages. The NON-GAA forum is the most used in the off season but in the next few weeks the GAA forum will start to get more use. Some county forums are very good (Limerick, Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Wicklow) and some get hardly no use (Tipp, Kilkenny)

7 - Dont lose the head - we've all seen posters getting offended by things and saying they are giving up posting (il mention no names). Don't do this, at the end of the day we all just expressing an opinion and if someome does really drive you mad they are probably a WUM...

8 - Become a legend - Examples dellboypollcat, Liam, Loyal, paddyogal,slayer, pudders, brolly, patrique, jim and of course the best of all miketyson...
