an expected result at the weekend,no complaints, we were outplayed by a better outfit. lets not forget cork were probably the best team in ireland last year, should of won an all ireland and should do so this year if they can bring their form to croker. the first half was a great contest, played with great intensity but from our perspective we came up short in the second half...if were going to adopt a defensive mentality, we must limit the amount of goals we concede as the opportunity to score heavily is reduced...our forwards were again too isolated in cork and giller must find the balance for his new tactics. i can understand gillers attitude but 13 men behind the ball will not work as once we win possession it gets given straight back to the opposition as the player in possession has no options for a pass. our half forward line must maintain some element of shape or giller should play 3 men in the full forward line if he want to pull the half forwards back...galway up next and a chance to try to put things right..up the dubs.

MesAmis, I wasn't as I was in London with my feet up after an operation. My brother (a cat) and his son (a dub) were at it - they have season tickets for both kilkenny and dublin - and said that the dubs gave as good as they got but Richie Power hung ye.

594912 Not a word from Wayno since they got put back in their box. Talking up the Dubs before the match. False dawn for dublin again. The media threat them like England football team get treated by their media. What are Englands chances of winning the world cup?

Answer - Same chance as dublin have of winning the All ireland. Sick of the circus that follows the both of them

God, if I hear that lame analogy again i will seriously vomit. The amount of country people who have said this to me in a pub over the years, thinking its some sort of in depth analysis, is frightening. More often than not their eyes were glued to a premiership game when they said it. If there's puke ball, there's puke-lame ass punditry as well. Please pack it in country brothers and sisters.

Pudders:

A good account of ourselves alright but we'd no answer to Power. We have the amount of league points that I expected at this stage but they came against Tipp rather than Offaly as I thought!!!! We should avoid the drop though thanks to Limerick.
