I was thinking that myself.

Now the experts reckon 925 of football success is "bought" such as the big 4 and Hull, west ham, portsmouth etc in England, but the French teams are paupers in comparison.

Maybe it is just a better league.

Please Patrique, leave it to the grown-ups.

With the exception of Madrid, Lyon have probably spent more cash than any other team in the last couple of seasons.

Not too sure.

I know Lyon have spent 22% of what Man United have spent over the last decade.

And I am not too sure about your comment re the much vaunted La Liga.

You see, we all know England is a ONE team league, one side has won it 70% of the time.

However in Europe Italy and England have faced each other in NINE games this year.

United, the one English team, duly beat Milan twice. However that is is.

Fulham drew with Roma, but lost to Roma and Juve. Liverpool lost twice to Fiorentina, and Chelsea lost twice to Inter.

That is 6-2 to Italy, who are allegedly in a crisis situation.

For anyone who thinks the premiership has a high standard, I have only two words.

this makes it 6-3 so maybe statistically seria a is only twice as strong as the premiership.

And Fulham did beat United 3-0 when I think about it.

yes i am the Dundalk fan and to be fair there is a decent amount of league of ireland fans on this!

hopefully this season will change some peoples view of the league
