Hi Ruby walsh, I was at the Kickhams match on Wednesday. They have three players who didnt play underage with the club-leahy, derek Byrne and McCullagh. Not exactly high profile inter county stars from outside Dublin. we recently lost denise Masterson and karen Halpin from our ladys team. we are a small club with a limited pool of players to pick from. we cant appoint high profile outsiders as juvenile coaches. We had 5 on the Dublin U21 panel and 2 on the Senior panel this year. so I don.t think we are damaging Dublin football.

I was at 3 games over the weekend, it's starting to hot up though it was turgid stuff with not one goal from play in all three games. Here's a quick report with Senan Connell, Pat Burke and Paul Brogan - link

emc2 aginst plunketts ballymun had 5 lads who joined the club over the last few years, bourke, leahy, byrne, connelly, mc cullagh.
plunketts ha 5 aswell, evans, brides, moyles, sommervile, sherlock.
look at teams like st judes, thomas davis if they signed a few lads like that they would walk senior championship. It really annoys me seeing teams every year bringing in lads look at st sylvesters aswell always have very good minor teams but look at the players they brought in, wallace, carr, roche, kinsella, j sullivan, clarke, bennis

ah every team have players from other clubs sure didnt James Brogan play with Brigids in the championship less than5 years ago. I no his people are Plunketts men but why the change since he played with them since u10 or so ??
Its happening alot more in this county with the big clubs poaching players i no a number of clubs knocking on the doors of minor hurlers and footballs asking them to move from one club to another

Very disappointed I couldn't make the Boden v Vinnies game last night. However as a neutral I was delighted to hear it was a draw and get a secont chance to see two great teams.

Id love to see Plunketts go all the way. Have been knockn on the door the last couple of years and it might be some consolation to lads like the Brogans and Mc Connell.....Imagine a Vins V Plunketts Final. Twould be a cracker....

why plunketts mollymalone unless its your club, hope brigids beat them being a good young parish team and all, plunketts were an average team before they done a man city/chelsea and brought in aload of players.

sommerville- vincents, already had a good goalkeeper in philip brogan who was a dublin u 21 panelist
brides- cavan
moyles- meath
evans- offaly
jayo- na fianna/dublin
darcy- fingallians
sweeney - laois, came on as a sub

Wouldnt want to be a young lad coming out of minor hoping to play senior football

I see you talk about Phil Brogan there he is originally St.Brigids remember seeing him playing in goal for them against Lucan a few years back and he is a brother of James Brogan another man who played all his football with St. Brigids from U10 to senior both only looked for transfers in the last few years to Plunketts.
There should be big rivalry at this semi final as the Brogans and Ross McConnell live almost next door to the Andrews of St. Brigids. Would like to see St. Brigids win for the reason above that there team is lik a parish team all them played there football with the club from early age unlike when they won the county having the Gallaghers from Fermanagh but i think Bernard Brogan will be too hot to handle and i think St.Brigids midfield will be too inexperienced to win 50% of the possession to win this won

Plunketts by 5.
