I have given up on RTE in terms of fair coverage for Monaghan especially after their pathetic attempt at fair analysis last year in the wake of that match in Celtic Park. Joe Brolly who was representing one of the players in the wake of it was chief pundit. A lot of their pundits have history with ourselves from years gone by and have no love of us. Colm O'Rourke to be fair to him is the only fair minded pundit they have and is not on it with an axe to grind. They have never given us much coverage down through the years. Alright we sometimes dont play the prettiest football but any match we are involved in is always competitive and never boring. I guarantee you if Wicklow were in the top flight there would be wall to wall coverage of them as they are a Leinster team with the darling of RTE Micko in charge.

Its just in keeping with RTE's overall approach to GAA the same teams week in week out poor fare really. Setanta is much better in fairness and are showing the Dubs against ourselves which I guarantee you will be a cracker.

This guy maybe able to help!!!!!.

In relation to Noel being a native of Co.Monaghan this is incorrect. He may reside there now and may also have attended school there as a youngster but Noel along with his brother Richard (Dragons Den)and indeed his other brother and sister were in fact all born and raised in a place called Lagan in Co. Louth not far from Reaghstown in the County of Louth.

Aside from all the petty squabbles about Monaghans style of play the basic fact is that Monaghan have been involved in 2 of the most excitin high scoring games in the past 2 weeks in Div.1 and havent been given even a snippet of air time and this is completely wrong an unfair on RTEs part and no one can reasonably argue against this

Could they not show Monaghan instead of Tyrone and everyone would be happy.... but just wait until after the next round in Inniskeen.

Pity P Kavanagh not around as he could write an ode !!!!!

With Tyrone proposing banning the cameras from Omagh, they might now pitch tent in Clones.

Indeed Hardcore and just look at the Division 1 table. Must really stick in your craw. As for Parnell Park, your home matches would be played in a cow shed if it wasn't for the GAA's ground redevelopment plans paid for, in the majority, by turnstile figures generated by 65,000+ dubs attending Croke Park for championship games. Again I am sure that this sticks in your craw but it's a fact. So too is our trophy cabinet containing 22 AI senior football Sams. If you're going to throw out accusations about Leinster football (which province, county even, hosts the teams that won the last two club championships?) or Dublin's ground then at least make sure that your own county's shop is in order first.

Indeed Diego and I wasn't slagging Meath (well trying not too) just pointing out Meath's excellent record against Ulster teams to those who cannot admit that Ulster is not as strong as they themselves believe. In fact Leinster teams have a very good record against Ulster teams in the championship of late.

joxer i would love you to take a trip to any club ground in monaghan. we have bout 8 pitches atleast cabable of holding county games. we have the best club grounds in the country. what have the dubs got a small 12,000 stadium to call there own. God only for the the council pitches in dublin clubs would be screwed

JOXER,are you saying 65,000 dubs are paying for the redevelopment of st tiernachs park clones, your full of you know what, the ulster council, monaghan co board and the gaa will fund this project not the dubs.dublins home ground is parnell park nearest thing to a cows shed ive seen for a while,as for croke park,no point opening it up till the soccer is over three to five thousand dubs at league matches. As for your 22 all irelands well done, but with size of the county and population should you not have more?now the club champions were back boned by outsiders, the vincents team had kerry men on it and the crokes had longford and fermanagh men on it aswell so it makes it a little easier to win when you have that sort of a pick.AS for our shop been in order, its running well voc school all ireland champions 2009,ulster champions (3in a row)2010,minors are getting closer too, the future looks good,we will see in a few weeks how both of our teams a fairing out.

Monaghan should be glad that their games are not shown on tv. If they were, most of their team would end up suspended for the next game, as the CCCC would use the tv coverage to punish them for all their nasty fouls and off the ball play that Monaghan do. So ye should be glad.

Look lads it's very simple...RTE can't possibly show any Monaghan matches because Sunday Sport is on before 10pm-they can't show that sort of violence at that hour in the evening. Everyone in the country would have nightmares after watching it!
