Once again the Monaghan match not given any air time just like last week.Match of the weekend last week with a 3-13 to 3-12 game v Cork and an equally high scoring game v Galway this weekend 1-20 to 1-14 but not even a mention.RTE are a disgrace and displayin an unbeliavble amount of bias against Monaghan.absolute joke

Yea i was annoyed alright it wasnt shown.

And the newspapers have angered me all week. The star, the mail, herald, all giving a big column to dublin. I wouldnt mind if they were all ireland champions but there only the kings of mighty leinster!

i for one support the RTE decision not to screen this match. it was proably made long before the match threw in and is based on years and years of horrible football being played by monaghan.

RTE bias against Monaghan??

Hardly.

More likely a national bias against a crowd of phoney hardmen masquerading as supposed intercounty footballers.

I don't think we're missing much.

It should be based on the match of the day system in England where the oder of matches shown are based on their quality, excitement, scores etc etc.Monaghans games would have been top billing both weeks.not lookin for extensive coverage just a few highlights.they have even merited a report as yet.After 2 weeks they are the only Div 1 team to get no air time.same old same old with the RTE.complete bias towards the 'big teams'.i can guarantee u if it had of been a Leinster team in Div 1 after promotion it would be a different story coverage wise

Yes Lofty but better to be Kings of Leinster than schmucks of all Ireland.

spot on , monaghan are without doubt the most cynical team in the country terrible to watch, remember tnag showed their league game against kildare last year and the treatment dished out to kildare that day was pure dirt, but in fairness to kiladare they held their ground and ran out very easy winners in the end,

If i remember that game finished kildare 1.13 monaghan 1.11.

Waw dublin won leinster , then yous fall apart when yous see kerry or tyrone.

2008 = 3.13 to 1.9

2009 = 1.24 to 1.7

If we are dirty team what about some of your players. A cheap shot and no more.

its funny that monaghan is slagging dublin when its the dubs that will give them what they want.

i was just checking the next load of fixtures on setanta http://www.setanta.com/ie/Our-Sports/GAA/GAA-Football/

and

the only way monaghan get to be shown on tv is..

when they play dublin :)

It all depends on who the opposition is. Monaghan are the only Div 1 team that we haven't seen any action from so far this year. It's the same with Meath I'm afraid. If setanta didn't have a camera at the Meath/Armagh game then we would be in the same suituation with RTE. The didn't bother to show any highlights of 2 of Meaths qualifier matches in 2009, the only qualifiers they failed to attend on both those weekends.

dubsfano8,im not crying about not been on tv,im surprised theres any gaa been showed on RTE.im returning a post to your friend joxer that were no schmucks if monaghan were in leinster dublin would not have done five in a row its a weak province as yous found out by takin hidings from tyrone and kerry.Now as for RTE wouldnt waste my time had to subscribe to setanta again to watch our games its a disgrace,pity the bbc or some other company wouldnt buy the rights to it and leave RTE with noting, its what the deserve.

Hardcore I think you will find that Meath's (a poor Leinster side) record championship against Ulster teams in recent years is excellent. So your statement is just nonsense. With the exception of Tyrone, Ulster is a poor province. In fact Munster is the only province with two strong teams IMO.

Monaghan are a division 1 team and deserve to be showed but it's all about ratings for RTE.

RTE hate Monaghan. There's big map in director general's office that has Monaghan cut out and anyone who refers to Monaghan other than in connection with diesel smuggling and dodgy stuff with pigs, is sacked. FACT!
