Just wondering what peoples ideas would be for a Fantasy League for Gaa as i am involved in one for the premiership and 6 nations but I would love if there was one for the Championship! What are peoples opinions on this??

Yeah, sounds like a good idea Royal_son. I'm guessing none exist at the moment?

theres a national league one from the daily star and tg4 but its utter muck. you can only pick from six forwards and six backs from each county. when tyrone have 47 players available for inclusion for the first two games whats the point?

very disappointed with it.

Star has one. Max 4 players from a county. 6 from div 1, 4 from d2, 3 from d3 and 2 from d4. Can change either 7 before championship starts. They have 15 players nominated from each county. And in fairness what were they supposed to do, name 50 players from each county. €100 each week with 10k for 1st, 5k for 2nd and 1k for next three. €2 entry

Think there's something along these lines being run by The Star and TG4, no money involved and pick a set amount of players from each division.

Not sure what the player lists to choose from are like or what the scoring system is but it's the only fantasy game I've seen for GAA so will be worth a shot at least.

There's one that the Star are running, think it's for the leaguye and the championship....theres a few rules about which players you pick but it looks decent enough

I'd have no interest in it to be honest. Too many players used in the National League, and the current championship structure isn't suited for a fantasy game either. It's a pity really, because I love the premiership fantasy football.

Is there anyway individual leagues can be set up on it? Like in the premier league one where you can have one with your mates or at work?

A HS League might be interesting...

Why not? Most counties will have a 30 man panel for the league. some will have more. say an average of 35 players, approx 1200 players. All that needs to be entered at that stage is team names. If you've the engine set up properly then all you need to do is each sunday night grab the paper and wack on two points for every player that made an appearance, however many for scores, goals etc and clean sheets. it really wouldnt be that hard to do. any decent computer programmer worth hes salt could sort one out in a few weeks. The volume of possible players shouldnt matter.

Joan it is a newspaper competition. So they should have how many pages devoted to listing the players and their scores? It took one page to list 396 players named

No it just basically seems to be an indivual competition, from wat i can see u cant even tell howre ur doin till the star get onto you to say uve won, they dont even tell u the scoring system..... unless these things are shown in th paper
