moonshine, i am not a macs man as you have pointed out. well done you. i cannot see where i have been talking nonsense though. i pointed out that barnabus had there chances to beat you in the final. they did, but you won. no nonsense there. i pointed out that you were well beaten in manchester and that you resorted to bully boy tactics. no nonsense there either. is it that you just don't like to here the truth when it comes to macdermotts maybe? best team in warwickshire but cannot make the grade when up against teams that don't fear you. i will tell you something i believe but that you will surely think is nonsense. barnabus or EGB would have a better chance in the all britain because they try to play the ball instead of the man. what do you think?

Rightly or wrongly Macs have a reputation which preceeds them, it definitely helps them in Warwickshire. They seem to have a mental strangehold over the others Barnabas when it comes to the serious business. It's the conduct of their sideline which makes them more unpopular to most people.

Good point Madmick about the all-Britain, but they have to get there first and that means beating Macs.

madmick, you are away with fairys, yes we were beaten in manchester by a very good side with some quality players, we were actually in the game with 5 mins left only trailing by 3 points, and fair play to Peters who scored 2-3 in those 5 minutes. This nonsense about bully boy tactics is getting boring now, can none of you lads stand up for yourself in the county ??? I dont hear anyone from Barnabus complaining like yourselves all the time, we are playing a physical game not basket ball.
As for your comment about EGB and barnabus fairing better than us in the all britain, barnabus would do well in the all britain, but as for EGB you must be joking they have won one Fr.Forde cup in the last 25 years.

EGB this EGB that - lads they are a very very poor outfit. This player that player gaelic football is a team game made of of players playing for each other not some side show bobs who think holding onto the ball or toetapping the ball into corners like soccer players makes them a good player. Over hyped over rated and most of them over weight or very much under weight.

We got to an all britian final and were beaten by a side that would give all good junior-intermediate teams in ireland a game. Roll on next year till we sweep up all the cups and sweep the likes of EGB and all the other all mouth teams to the side.

clean sweep for macs in the junior as well, JFK cup won yesterday in a very good game of football against Sons Of Erin who have a few nice footballers themselves.Shame that there wasnt a few more people out there watching the game. JFK cup to go along with the junior c`ship and league and also went through the season unbeaten. 7 or 8 of the under 18s played in this junior team all season, and a few them will be pushing for a regular place on the senior team next year. Also a mention to some of the older lads who also have performed well this year.
Looks like casey joes will have to build a bigger trophy cabinet after all the suscess this year.

ABitterman- any chance of you discussing Gaelic football at any point? You don't seem to know much about the sport itself, just seems you fancy trying to wind a few people up on here.
Get a life fella, and maybe turn up to the Pairc one of the days to watch a game or two.

Predictions for the new county board heres mine. All the same people shuffled around some things will never change. Why bother with a meeting dont waste an afternoon attending convention.Remember you were warned

So will any of you be standing for positions in Warks? Or do we have a lot of people who give off and don't have the bottle to try and change things?

I take it Leathal you don't fancy warming up the Macs sub bench then? If you want to play summer football, when most rational people believe football and hurling should be played, you would need to move to another county for that.

i hope the county board have the sense to call of the games this weekend , no player should be put at risk by playing on sub standard pitchs due to the weather conditions in December.
