i dont see how anybody in warwickshire can slag off macs about anything. ok so they cant win an all Britain but nobody can touch them in senior championship. a lot of begrudgers on here. do you think barnabus would have even beat the scotland team to make the final. barnabus showed in the county final that they dont have the beleif needed. they had there chances to win and bottled them.

howsthehorse: I think you are wrong with your predictions. Seedings for next year should be as follows:
1. McDermotts
2. Barnabas
3. Casements
4. EGB
5. Mitchells
6. Marys
7. Four Masters

Casements strong end to the season explain that one.Draw with four masters and then beat them in a coventry only cup dont turn up against the best team.Barnabus will go the same way as four masters there team is gone couldnt beat a scratch macs team sunday only got 3 scores.Mitchels, egb, finished in july so whose going to challenge macs?.

the dancer this scratch macs team that contained dowling, bennett, smith, hayden, mulligan, dooley, hanlon, yes these are all scratch players dry up man + they had players from their winning junior team....no excuses from us we didnt deserve to win but dont come on here and talk dirt about a scratch team...

madmick i dont know what club you are from but please dont talk about bottle if your a casements, egb or mitchells man use cant talk as use werent in the position to bottle it as you werent good enough to get their...yes we had our chances to win but that bit of lack of experience didnt help...as for the league not playing a game in 6 weeks doesnt help warwickshire structure for games stinks....and if your a macs man your obviously nat a PLAYER as im sure if you were to chat to one of their players and asked them their toughest games in warwickshire this year they would of been against us

the only man thats speaks sense on here is probably moonshine....wouldnt mind hearing his honest opinion on this

There should be no seedings for next year. Put the 7 teams in a hat and draw 2 groups from there. Either of the 3 from the Macs, EGB and Barnabas group would have won the other group handily.

Macs only beat the other two by a point apiece. Had a titanic struggle against the Notts lads up there and if EGB had their shooting boots on would have been buried by half time in the other one. That half of the draw was definitely the strongest.

Jeysus, there's some rubbish being talked on this forum…And still people are getting their knickers in a twist when others are purely on the wined up!!

Macs, strongest club in the county and have been for some time. Continued success will attract the bigger players to the club, especially coming from home. That along with the fact they are willing to invest money in these players, be it expenses, setting them up with a job, whatever, it all helps to keep them at the top.
As for Barnabas, to come from the intermediate League and straight on to a Senior Championship final and narrowly losing out on the senior league is a massive achievement for any club! I watched the final myself and Barnabas did falter in the second half, whether it was fitness or experience, regardless did very well!
As for what kind of team Macs had out last Sunday, simple fact was they have been training hard for the All Britain and then came up against a Barnabas team who haven't played a game in 6 weeks. Anyone with a half a football brain will know that was going to be an ask of them!!
Instead of trying to get a rise out of each other…might be an idea to focus your energy into making sure we have a solid county board next year in order to take the county to another level, be it the club champ or county teams!!!

ABitterMan, you really cant be that much involved with RC, not as much as you would like to think anyway. Because if you were you would have known that your own club bottled it ( as you put it ) 5 or 6 years ago against the scottish champions in an all britain quarter final on two occasions.

magic_johnson, madmick is no Macs man, he talks to much nonsense. Would have to agree with you our toughest games within the county were against yourselves. Four times we played this year, winning three of them, with yourselves winning the first encounter in the league by 4 points after us leading by 5 at halftime. The c`ship group game was a tight affair with us winning by 1 point with virtually the last kick of the game.
As you know yourself in the county final you had your chances and the game could have gone either way, but the greater expierence told in the end to some extent. Last sundays game we played four of our under18s who as you rightly say all played in a winning junior c`ship team and 2 or 3 lads that came out of retirement, and it was a decent enough game, the fixtures committee didnt do yourselves any favours by giving you no game for 6 weeks.
I would like to say that everyone of these games was a tough physical encounter, just the way that the game should be played, a handshake after the game and what ever happens on the pitch stays on the pitch, not here moaning and complaining about something.
On another note i would like to acknowledge the good work that your club has put in this year to improve the standard of football within the county and long may it continue, a few of the other so called big clubs in the county should take note of your set up and the work that you do, sucsess wont happen over night but you are going in the right direction, good luck to ye.

Lethal, just to let you know scores win games if you dont take them you wont win, simple. Stop the excuses. By the way if you had been at that game you would have known that Macs led by 7 points with less than 5 minutes left, EGB got two late goals, wasnt really that close of a game just made the scoreline look a small bit respectable.

I did watch the Macs v EGB game Moonshine, no bitterness. You're correct that you have to take chances to win a game i was merely stating that Macs 'should' have been put away by half time, the fact that they were not is a different and a testament to the resilience of the Macs team. Like in the final Barnabas 'should' have put Macs away but failed to. As for EGB getting two late goals, as you say its about taking your scores when they come along, im sure Macs didn't gift the goals to EGB.

Lethal did you get a good look from the sideline at the Macs EGB game then? Or did you actually get to play for Macs for a change?

ABitterMan, i see you are still here talking nonsense, thanks for the tip anyway have backed mayoman a few times and he has won me a few pound, which is more than can be said for your own club because if anyone was to back them they would be well out of pocket because you cant win anything.
Anyway heres to next season till you come back on here talking about winning c`ships again, in your dreams.

ABitterMan, and where are you ?? your season over at the end of august, its a good job the game wasnt played on the origanal date otherwise your season would have finished in july.
As i said before you are the sort that only comes out and supports your club once a year if they make a final, well by the way you play football we wont see you for a while.
