I hope that Barnabas can cause an upset this year, have great respect for the way in which they have rejuvinated their club. However, i can see Macs dragging the game down and strangling Barnabas' way of playing. They will struggle to move the ball quickly and into their danger players when they are being hit from all angles. Fair play to Macs, their style isn't pretty but its effective.

What time is the big game due to start on Sunday? Is there a curtain raiser?

Is it any surprise that the intermediate and junior leagues have been a complete shambles again this year. The fixture secretary openly admitted a couple of weeks ago of having lost track of matches played, won, lost etc… The reason he hasn't put them on the website! Classic. Hopefully there have been allot of current board members exposed this year and there will be big changes in place for the start of next year

Looking forward however to a good senior final Sunday. Hopefully all the flights coming into Birmingham Sunday morning will be delayed!! lol

throw in is 3pm. should be an intriguing encounter now. is there a general consensus that Macs will fly lads in for the game? not sure if lads are serious or on the wind up, do they try this tactic every year? i can guarantee Barnabas will be down there with cameras and print offs of their transfers this year just in case they try it on. 'ringers' should be spotted easily enough and they wont let Macs get away with it

Can't see there being any ringers, with the lads macs have signed this year i don't think they need any!

Quiet on here of late. Both teams must be keeping the heads down and training hard. Knowle do you want to visit our bouncy castle to warm up before the game on Sunday?

I agree about being inexperienced on the sideline and on the pitch but sometimes that inexperience can be channelled into raw, eager, passionate energy.

In sayin that it is very hard to look past Macs. Kingpins of Warwicks for the last while no doubt. They know how to win. Personally I expect a one sided final. Macs by 8.

We were within the hop of a ball of qualifying from our group. Whilst dissappointing, it is by no means shameful. Our club future is secure and we continually tog out for every fixture.

Here's to a good final.

If Macs can keep French quiet on Sunday they should win by 6/7 points. A couple of early goals could make it interesting, but i can't see it happening.

Is there a game on before the final? Is throw in def 3pm??

Macs will win by about 12 points. Barnabus wont be able to get close to the pace of ozzie bennett and the vision of eddie hanlon.

U14 Championship is the curtain raiser, Brendans v Mitchells

Not had any suggestions for convention ? Lads time will run out if we are not ready, and we'll be moaning here AGAIN next year

Botheredagin, Where is this under 14 match being played? On the Warwickshire web (for all that its worth) its has the Junior Football Championship Semi-Final Roger Casements Vs O'Rahillys at 1.30pm & St. Brendan's Vs St. Finbarrs in the Intermediate Football League at 1pm, only games being played before the final? Maybe this has changed?

Also, I expect you are talking about the state of the lower leagues?? I have been in contact with some of the other clubs around the county and there is a meeting to be arranged to discuss ways of sorting this all out, in advance of next year!! It was also discussed at the last county board meeting about a group being set up which consisted of one member of every club which would solely look at the fixtures for the year ahead.

will macs be able to do what kilkenny couldnt last week, claim five in a row, any views ??

heard pat hoey has been given the job of referee, bad decision in my opinion after the awful job he made of last years final, any views on this.
surely mcglouglin of jm should have got the job, best ref in the county by far.

any opinions on the game ?? should be a fairly physical contest i except, dont think there will be to much between the teams and could possibly end in a drawn game, but i would have to go with a macs win by 2 points just because of their greater expeirence.

I believe St Marys v Four Masters will be played after the final, for those wanting to stick around.

i disagree i think Hoey is one of the better refs around and will do a good job on Sun. should be a good tough physical encounter now, heres hoping for good weather

bad decision if hoey is the ref. Macs will walk away with another title, they are too experienced at this level for barnabus to get close to them. Macs will have their tactics ready and each individual will know their jobs. hope barnabus can cause an upset but unfortunatley i feel it may be a little to soon for barnabus, they play similar to how Four Masters played last year so expect the same kind of tactics.

best of luck to both teams
