Loughnanne ,

Not from Rathnew or anywhere near Rathnew ..

Balto a good side , I thought Rathnew were a cut above all the rest last year and beat Pats at their ease in the final . They have re built their panel and have quality in nearly all positions as well as strength in depth.

I wouldnt be at all surprised to see them go on a run of 4 or 5 C'ships in a row .

I hope Balto and indeed Blessington , Pats , Kiltegan etc are their equal - makes for a far more interesting C'ship and better for County as well . From what I saw last year , I only see rathnew widening the gap between them and the rest over next few years.

Baltinglass ashould win it they have the best forward line in the county Walshe Mcgrath sinnot Joey Kelly not many lads in the county could keep them boys scoreless and with Baltos problem area now solved thanks to MIckey english i cant see them been beating...

I cant see past Rathnew this year to win the Senior Championship again, with the panel the have and whats coming up behind them they could go on a run and put 5 or 6 in a row. Pats could mount a challenge they have the players but seemed to have lost the hunger,Bray should be stronger but seem content to win under age and don't step up to the plate at senior level,Baltinglass are a hard working side but don't have any real quality players anymore, while Blessington have the players but don't have the bottle to win a Championship, how they wish they could find another Pat O,Toole to lead them.A lot of the Kiltegan players best days are gone while Newtown only flatter to deceive, mention Rathnew and they fold.I cant see any of the other teams make any impact.Carnew might win a one off knock out game with their spirit but not good enough to sustain a real challenge,so as i say Rathnew to win back to back Championships and maybe more.

aboy i dont mean to disrespect any of the balto forwards as they are good club footballers but ya cant say mcgrath walsh an kelly are in the same league as tommy gill mark doyle an leighton glynn.. maybe im jus blindin by the red an green but thats the way i see it an im sure plenty of other people outside rathnew would think the same

Looking forward to a great championship in 2010, Rathnew were very good last year and thought they might have done well in Leinster. As regards "aboys", i dont think its just Balto's midfield problem that is solved, Tommy Murphy back at the helm will bring a huge boost to the team! Hope to see Rathnew Balto in final again this year, in my opinion the 2 best teams in county with Pats not far behind. CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

In the 125 year cup not 1 rathnew back could stop mcgrath and billy cullen marked glynn out off the hole game.. Young Sweeney didn let Gill touch the ball in the championship its Rathnews midfield that will beat balto

In fairness aboys I wouldn't get too carried away with the 125 cup. It was meaningless really. It was one week before the county final so you can't say Rathnew were fully focused on it. If you're looking for comparison between Rathnew and Baltinglass maybe you should look at the county semi-final where the Rathnew forawrds, in particular Glynn, roasted the Balto defence. Still think Rathnew are the team to beat this year but Balto will be there or there abouts. Don't think Pat's have bottle for the big day anymore. They've shown that the past two years. If Kiltegan can get players fit and playing as a unit again they'd be my outside bet.
