TJ Garry could be one of those Dunderry players, I think he was a county junior last year. jackhackett (Meath) - Posts: 773 - 13/01/2010 21:09:55 532409 Link 0 |
Have seen justin reilly of moylagh play a few times, easily one of the best junior footballers in meath.. CommonSense1 (Meath) - Posts: 28 - 13/01/2010 21:18:11 532428 Link 0 |
Lads JB O Reilly, would you please. I have no idea were the hype is coming from. Good club player but that is it. pretender (Meath) - Posts: 358 - 14/01/2010 08:38:30 532501 Link 0 |
Definitely think Tadhg Boyle is worth a shout with the junior. In fact if he were to show up well there, then there would be a strong case to draft him on to the senoir panel. Very good player. Albert (None) - Posts: 30 - 14/01/2010 12:23:44 532672 Link 0 |
Obama 08 thats a very good team aside from the silections of JB and Dean Barrett(hasnt played GAA for two years) Brian Reilly(not good enough in my opinion dont know how he ever played senior) and Philip McEntee(Not up to scratch either anymore in my opinion) apart from that reasonably good,Mick Shankey and Sean Mulligan have to be considered iamurdad (Meath) - Posts: 93 - 14/01/2010 14:19:54 532808 Link 0 |
From playing junior football all year for my club, Justin reily, rory maguire and tahgh boyle were the most threatening. All very clever players. Meath2010 (Meath) - Posts: 108 - 14/01/2010 15:46:06 532918 Link 0 |

Surely there has to be more Oldcastle players on that junior team, the likes of thomas rahill, rory mchugh, barry curran, nicky galligan, these are all worth their place. Also justin reilly from moylagh is definetly a player to consider, what about the gilsean lad from from Ballinacree and benji smith from ballinalough, could be worth a try. How come everyone is worried about the Meath Juniors on this page. Surely we have more pressing concerns about the senior team...ie. midfield/full back. James T (Meath) - Posts: 611 - 15/01/2010 17:03:32 534074 Link 0 |
Junior Intercounty football lads is pure rubbish and worse still is of no value what's so ever to the senior squad. They should either scrap it or allow senior club players in also and everyone has to be under 23. Some of the players mentioned from Nobber and St Michaels is actually funny, please they arent even good club footballers. Another option would be to allow the subs on the Senior squad play on the junior team and upgrade and downgrade players based on performances. I cant think of the last Meath junior player to go on with success to the senior set up apart from Richie Kealy. If it was a business it would have knocked long ago. It's no wonder Ulster take no part. Northmeathman (Meath) - Posts: 284 - 15/01/2010 17:21:20 534103 Link 0 |
That team must be the North Meath Club only, and an exception for a few from Longwood,Dunsany,Martin Doran and Na Fianna. There is alot more better players in South,East and west of Meath than in North Meath. 12Royal (Meath) - Posts: 987 - 15/01/2010 18:20:51 534213 Link 0 |
North Meath Man, Stephen Bray & Brian Farrell won All Ireland JFC medals in 2003 and where are they now? bennyblanco (Meath) - Posts: 579 - 16/01/2010 10:38:12 534481 Link 0 |
Anthony Moyles, John Cullinane,John Donohue,Steven Bray,Brian Farrel,Terry Skelly,Derek Flood,Richie Kealy,Ricky Nolan,Brian O'Riely,Niall McLouglin,Cathal Sheridan,Barry Lynch,Conor Brennan,Martin Doran,Daithi Regan,Daithi Whyte,Brian Meade,Jamie Queeny,Micheal Burke,Rory Maguire and Mark Ward. These players have all gone on to play with the Meath seniors.I think the idea of having a Junior team is great because, you might not get to play with seniors and you might not of been on the Meath minors eitheir.I think it gives lads a great chance to try and break into the Meath seniors and it gives you a chance to break onto the senior Meath team, and then you can say to yourself at the end of your career that you got a chance to represent your county. And it doesnt matter what level you play with your county,it still is a great honour. And i am sure everyone of the lads on the Junior team give as much to the cause as the boys on the senior team do. 12Royal (Meath) - Posts: 987 - 16/01/2010 14:05:59 534623 Link 0 |
