Istabraq was one of the most natural jumpers of a hurdler ever.

Dunguib fiddles his way over a lot of his hurdles.

No comparison between these two yet Ta32.

what did you make of denman yesterday? 1/8 and seemed to be going well until he staggered at one fence and then collapsed alltogether at the next

passerby.tyrone.

denman was very tired looking horse when they were 4 fences out, i keep saying that this horse has lost something since his heart problem, he certainly is not the same horse as he was, u could see that he did not want 2 know yesterday, the denman 2 years ago would have run the same opposotion riot.
maybe its time 2 consider retiring the great denman, and connections of this horse do not make the same mistake as best mate, and exotic dancer who was run into the ground in my ipinion.
so retire denman now before it is 2 late.

Ta32, Denman will not be retired. He is a racehorse and by definition, his design is to run in horse races.

As for the race itself yesterday, Passerby, well Denman clearly did not run to the figures of his Hennessy form. Denman gave Niche Market 22 pounds, a 3 pound claim and a 7.25L in that race yet yesterday, he couldn't shake him off. Now it is entirely possible that Niche Market could have improved since then, he has looked a very progressive horse to me. But when McCoy asked Denman, the response wasn't immediate. In fact, Niche Market was closing on the run to the fourth last. What confuses me is that Denman had jumped foot perfect up until that point and had all his rivals off the bridle heading out of the back straight. But the way he laboured so suddenly would suggest a lack of fitness to me and were it not for the trainer's comments before the race, I'd almost say that was the case.

But he's bounced back from worse and Nicholls would not have had him peaking for a race like the Aon. I expect the real Denman to show up in March and put it Kauto Star just like in 2008. The clash of the heavyweights is still very much on.

I'm just putting it out there and i know its a long shot with denman being such a superstar and only half contender the the star but Denman wasn't strong in the betting ring yesterday and tricky trickster was supported at decent prices, and now denmans price is drifting like a barge for the gold cup and could even end up e/w price.Could nicholls have done a bit too little preparation with denman and had this all planned?Long shot i know but all these little things sem a little coincidental...,.??

believe me denman is not the same horse, kauto star will destroy the gold cup field.
i was there when denman bt kauto in the same race 2 years ago and i am telling everyone they would be mad 2 put money on him now he is not the same horse.

Heart says Denman, head says Kauto Star. Hope for a grand stand finish coming up the hill with maybe another horse thrown into the hat.
