Would agree with Ollie, Tyrone, Down, Armagh but then Derry or Donegal..two great teams at that time.

At football, alas no.

I wasn't able to do a hurling one because I would have to put it on the Antrim board.

And let us hope the snow melts and you can get back to school.

If I remember correctly a 13 man Tyrone team beat the Derry 1995 team, now that Tyrone team would be regarded as poor

If I remember that team got a very dodgy run in the all Ireland final and were basically robbed.

The following year they were the best Tyrone side I ever saw and were robbed again when Meath were allowed to kick the bejabbers out of them.

So they were hardly a comparison to the 2006 Derry team who did not threaten to win a couple of all Irelands.

Think you're being a bit harsh on Donegal by including Derry in that list but not Donegal. Donegal got to 5 Ulster Finals in a row between 89 and 93. Beat in AI Semi-Final by Meath who blamed Donegals physical approach to the Semi-Final for them losing the AI Final in 90. Lost to Down in Ulster Final in 91. Won the lot in 92. Beat by Derry in a flooded Clones in Ulster Final 93. People say that Derry should have won more than 1 All-Ireland but forget that they beat a Donegal team missing several first team players, including a few All-Stars, in conditions that suited Derrys style of play more than Donegals.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, I have followed Tyrone for over 25 years and the 95/96 team were not in the same league as the 2003 - present team. It still only took 13 of this team to beat a Derry team who you rate above a three team all-Ireland winning team. For the record I would rate Tyrone as the best team of the last 20 years, very little to seperate the other 3. All very good teams.

We'll never know but I really wonder how the Down, Derry, & Donegall teams of the early 90's would have done with a backdoor system?

I suppose the same could be asked of others like Meath & Dublin.

A perfectly valid point, although personally I thought derry had a better side, but that Donegal side gave me much enjoyment.

Stop with the wise old man, know it all attitude. From previous posts I think you are well aware that I am long past school going age. Then again you are much older so maybe your memory is not as good as it once was.You are a begrudger who likes to court controversy on this site just for the sake of it.By starting this post you knew that people would react accordingly, the begrudgers like yourself would agree and fair minded people would not.

Answer: It wasn't Antrim.

Anyone watch All Ireland gold on TG4 yesterday? Cork Derry from 1993. That was an impressive Derry side. Quality in all areas of the field. Interesting to see how many of that team have went on to management. Tony Scullion, Gary Coleman, Brian Mc Gilligan, Damien Cassidy, Declan Barton, Dermot Mc Nicholl, and recently Henry Downey.

I watched it and a good game ...it was interesting to see the old style all long ball in the first half and the new style possession game by Derry in the second half.

Tyrone simply because the only other winners of the Big prize in the Millennium have never beaten Tyrone in the Semi-final or Final

Its not a question intended to encourage rational debate and you know it.You started it because you are a begrudger and you wanted to create trouble on this forum. Ever heard of being honest?

I was pointing out the later stages of the Quest for SAM blu and not the Ulster Championship ,you did indeed beat us in two cracking games in 2008 did us a favour .
