Think hate is a strong word but if Dublin were playing most teams i would shout for the opposition. Think its just all that hype that surrounds them. Andy (Laois) - Posts: 371 - 30/04/2008 13:59:15 13830 Link 0 |
I used to hate Meath around 4 years ago when we played them every year where Meath would draw with us in the first game and beat us easily in the second. Time has changed that and my most disliked team by a mile is Dublin. Their supporters should learn a bit of manners especially when opposing teams are taking free kicks. Their players don't help themselves with the us versus everyone else syndrome. I don't like Mayo either..every year they get far and their supporters brag...they then traditionally lose in the final and we don't hear from them for a further 12 months. I like most northern teams as they bring a physical edge to football and their supporters fill Croke Park. I don't mind Longford even though they hate us, have respect for the biffos as they always puch above their weight. Not too fussed about Kildare because they are dirty and enjoy playing against Laois. iarmhiman (Westmeath) - Posts: 140 - 30/04/2008 14:27:57 13850 Link 0 |
I agree with Derry_ledd as well, in my experience Tyrone fans are terrible winners. No class at all, but then again most of the Tyrone fans I've experienced were quite young. Armagh fans are always gracious in victory and defeat, we've met a lot over the years but I've never had any trouble! JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1432 - 30/04/2008 15:38:15 13947 Link 0 |
have to say joesoap stayed in ballybofey last year in night of the match had great craic was on the recieving end of fair bit of stick from donegal fans who were naturally all over the moon with eventually beating us. Was all very good natured as always with the donegal fans. samin10 (Armagh) - Posts: 2434 - 30/04/2008 15:50:50 13959 Link 0 |

Ah Sam you were bound to get a bit of stick considering the amount of times ye've beat us over the years! Was in Ballybofey myself that night as usual the banter was great. JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1432 - 30/04/2008 16:03:42 13974 Link 0 |
Dublin - with a passion, despise them actually (cocky, arrogant, dirty, egotistical bunch who think there superior to everyone else). look at last week against meath, in Omagh '07 and against mayo in '06, even their manager rolling shoulders at other coaches and who's a garda. disgraceful and terrible attitude altogether. media circus every year, and this thing of clapping the hill before every game just confounds it. lunacy stuff. ya wouldn't get it in a cartoon!!! also they get alot off referees because they are "Dublin". it's time ye got over yerselves in the capital... ja_mayo (Mayo) - Posts: 75 - 30/04/2008 16:27:41 13995 Link 0 |

got to agree with ye JoeSoap, I was surrounded by Armagh folk last year in Ballybofey and they were nothing but gracious in defeat, fair play to them. Legend92 (Donegal) - Posts: 752 - 30/04/2008 20:26:41 14112 Link 0 |

Notice that Tyrone is popping up quite a bit, not surprising really, jealousy is a terrible thing. Don't hate any county at all, we're all Irishmen here. Would support our fellow Ulster counties in matches against non-Ulster counties though pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 18/12/2009 13:46:58 517607 Link 0 |
most of ye boyos in here make me laugh, but for a few schoolboys from each county and ye go off hating the whole county. i get laughed at whenver a discussion about football comes up, when im in galway. do i hate them?, no. i also know of a few lads from my own county who used to log onto this site and start rising other counties for the laugh, every time they rise to the bait. this is some laugh alright and should not be taken seriously but anyway if im going to list counties i dislike here i go: galway: think they are better "people" (not gaa related) than mayo - nothing could be furthar than the truth kerry: at spat at a few years ago when wearing a mayo jersey in tralee cavan: terrible roads, nothing going for it roscommon: they still go on about their all ireland win over mayo in the hyde. (thats right an all ireland u wud think) kilkenny: found their supporters very ignorent on the hill this year cork: annoying - thank you cork for your mayo sheep comments on the hill in 03 dublin: flamming dubs - ah no never had a problem with the dubs - always great craic even when they loose so there ya go - do i hate any of the above counties - NO! ive spent nights out in all of them and there mighty craic UP MAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11540 - 18/12/2009 14:36:08 517638 Link 0 |
