in football i suppose its kerry but i dont agree, personally i dont like kilkenny i think in this day and age they should be fielding a football team in championship (leinster isnt that high of a standard im sure they could do well in there), i know a few lads from kilkenny seem handy enough with a ball, people dont like mayo cause they are consistently good, people dont like the dubs i suppose because of their supporters (so called) and the way the gaa treats them, cork- well i suppose its an attitude problem as my father says cork are the 'samaratians' need people to listen to their moaning all the time, up north in general i dont think there is any county that is not like un masses- now the puke football turned alot of us against northern teams but those teams are gone if i was pushed id say its a toss up between cork and dublin - in both cases its down to attitude ball-boy (Mayo) - Posts: 4211 - 01/04/2008 17:24:17 1362 Link 0 |
Only sad insignificant little children can generalise an entire county. Like you!! We have huge rivalries with Kerry Meath and Cork, but my God you wont see us saying we HATE any of them. Bet you were getting ready to hate Australia too seeing as you believed there were 2 Aussies coming to play for us....you IDIOT Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 01/04/2008 17:37:44 1374 Link 0 |

Can't say that I hate any county really. I always go for the underdog so I suppose I would't cheer for Kerry or Kilkenny too often. It's not hatred though - just think that they ha ve enough already!! RMDrive (Donegal) - Posts: 2202 - 01/04/2008 17:51:07 1394 Link 0 |
I wouldnt hate any county, some supporters however would be on my list, people who have misguided beliefs about how good their football team is for example Annes Man (Wexford) - Posts: 208 - 01/04/2008 18:17:42 1408 Link 0 |

It has to be Carlow. Every year,no worries about playing after June. They can book their Summer holidays without any worries about missing a match. Also no begging for tickets come September.I hate the good life that they have. Real Kerry Fan (None) - Posts: 2957 - 02/04/2008 09:30:19 1593 Link 0 |

Wouldn't hate any really as I haven't got a spiteful bone in my body.I would cheer for the underdog and hope they cause a bit of an upset. There are plenty who hate other countys with a passion. For me it's just on the day against anybody playing the oakleafers. northpole (Derry) - Posts: 739 - 02/04/2008 10:05:28 1616 Link 0 |
I would have to say roscommon, nasty element in their support, bad personal experiences playing them in the past.Much prefer playing galway even though the tribesmen would be much more likely to beat us. kimbap (Mayo) - Posts: 81 - 02/04/2008 10:08:16 1620 Link 0 |
Dont hate any counties but being an armagh man there is always a certain edge to tyrone and down games, usually plenty of banter which is always forgotten after the game. Would not be a big fan of fermanagh supporters (no problem with team) after 2004 when they beat us in croke park lets just say they were not exacly gracious in victory, their fans were more interested in insulting armagh fans than celebrating their own victory. Maybe being a bit harsh on them they prob just got carried away as it got them into their first ever semi final, im sure they are not like that all the time. samin10 (Armagh) - Posts: 2434 - 02/04/2008 10:27:43 1639 Link 0 |
As a Westmeath supporter it has to be Meath. Back in 2001 when there was a bit of a Westmeath V Meath saga and Meath came back from 9 points down to draw the game, a certain Meath player ran half the length of the Cusack stand gesturing to all Westmeath supporters after the final whistle. This is in turn provoked a number of Meath supporters to copy him. Ever since then Meath are county I love to hate. As for ball boys comment saying Kilkenny would do well in the Leinster football championship because the standard is poor. That statement is pure stupid. No disrespect to Kilkennny but when it comes to football they are harmmerd by 20-30 points in divison 4 league games. So what would happen in the championship?
