Out of the idleness of winter I've decided to put together a team of players from the Country's official Gaeltacht regions. We all know the 3 brothers from Ard a' Bhóthair, but when put together with the other players this is a serious team- is there an All-Ireland in them d'ye think? I would never have known that Belmullet was a Gaelthact region-Billy joe Padden easily the weak link there.

Liam ó Lionnáin is a serious footballer good to see him in that team not many no of him as his club are not even that strong in waterford but an excellent player

The three McGourty's would walk on to that team, and a few others from the Belfast Gaeltacht, possibly containing more Irish speakers than any other Gaeltacht area.

I had a similar thread there in May just when the Comórtas was about to begin. I wrote down a team which would top yours i'd say as i had players from all ages.
Since when is Darren ó Sullivan a gaeltacht player????????

You see I LIVED at the bottom of Shaws Road in Andersonstown and noticed this development which grew.

Patrique, sure we know that there is plenty of the Gaeilge up there and fairplay to the lads. Always a great weekend when the men of Laochra Loch Laoi come come to town. What i don't know is are the McGourtys playing for a Gaeltacht club, St.Galls?
