Legan are through to the semis after a difficult encounter against Grattans where they were handicapped with two players harshly red carded. However they still won by 7, obviously Grattans require at least a 3 man advantage to win a game!! Carrickedmond again stuttered against a depleted Shroid and now more than likely play Legan. The other semi is still unknown as the st munis v Killashee game wasn't played because of a ref no show. Looks like the semis have followed league form with the top 2 div 2 teams already there along with last yes div 2 winners Carrickedmond.

The Brigid's are through to face ballymore in the semi's after an easy win over forgeny last night.

prediction for the rest of the championship:

semi's: Carrickedmond vs Legan, Legan to cause a big upset
Killashee vs Ballymore, killashee to gain an expected victory

Final: Killashee vs Legan, Killashee to have too much for a young legan side

dear men of longford,

it was funny all year how everyone on this site was able to say that carrickedmond wouldn't win the intermediate championship. after they achieved the feat of winning it i dont see many people congratulating them on doin this. ye were all sayin that they would be depletted in the final and that they are bottlers but if you were in there last sunday you would have been proven wrong. its good to see that the bitterness that a lot of those comments were posted with might have in some way poisoned the negative posters on this site. it was fine for ye all to doubt them but admit it when you are wrong and give them some respect. i doubt that a lot of ye that were posting this can say that ye are friends or even no anyone from carrickedmond.

dead right there leinster4! carrickedmond cruised through this year and it is clear eugene mccormack got it right this year they peaked at right time and took it as just another game! last year were unbeaten in league and only lost in championship final where just didnt turn up! everyone on this forum were ruling them out and now there not even gracious in defeat and admit they were by far best team and strong chances of top 8 finish in div 1
