carrick recorded a good win over a fairly toothless killashee team yesterday,but that wont come as any great suprise,were now back on track after an early hicup,the biggest suprise came friday when a spirited grattans over came a shocking dirty and indicipelined kenagh team..kenagh got what they deserved,one of there players should be banned for a year for his disgraceful outburst after being rightly sent off

godownonit. you fail to mention the cynical behaviour of the carrickedmond player in that match. if there had been a stronger ref their 2 midfielders would have been sent off for repeated fouling. carrick dont look like a division 1 team and are not far ahead of the competition.

At this stage the favourites for the intermediate would have to be Carrickedmond or Ballymore considering they are very likely to top their groups. The probable semi-finals will be Carrick v Legan or Grattans and Ballymore v Killashee or St Munis. One would expect Killashee to beat St Munis on league form after the most recent 5-14 to 2-3 beating however Killashee only won 0-5 to 0-9 in Ballymahon earlier in the year and St Munis have a great chance if they repeat their Carrickedmond showing. Legan v Grattans has been close in the championship in recent years with one win a piece in the last two years knock out stages. It will probably be close againnext Saturday.

whats your predictions lads for the winners this year? anyone no what odds the bookies are offering?. is this really true about keenagh finishing with only 12 men against young grattans. if so it is a long time since i have heard of any team in the county finishing with twelve. had grattans many players sent off ?

Taking the first two rounds into consideration, you'd have to say Ballymore are the favourites for the championship. Carrick's poor display in the opening round showed that they are far from world beaters and I wouldn't be in the least bit suprised if they went on to lose their semi-final, given that Legan would be a local derby and Grattans would be riding on the crest of two big wins in a row. Yes Kenagh did finish the game with 12 players. I was at the match and saw all 3 incidents... all were sending offences, they were perfect examples of what happens when a player has a rush of blood to the head and acts before he thinks.

patmcgee,i dont know what game u were watchin sunday,but the fact that our two midfielders completly dominated the game,could hardly be called cynical fouling!if ya want cynical foulin then take a look at ur full back who nearly broke a wing forwards leg at the end of the game and only recieved a second yellow,thats what i call weak reffin,take off the killashee tinted glasses pat and just admit yer not good enough!!!!!

Thats funny how you put that godownonit. Sure we got a free nearly everytime the ball was kicked out, because ye couldnt compete. all ye did was drag our players down anytime they got the ball past the halfway. Did ye not have a man sent off too? as for our man being sent off it was only a second yellow and id say some of your own players would have done the same to that no. 12. a cryin boy
