Poor display i heard alright from grattans in legan. Geard Victory seems to be all they have. may find it too tough this year even to get out of the group

i disagree with the above comment, grattens have talent all over the field. In a recent junior game against shroid, who fielded their best outfit, grattens showed quailty in the squad. infact their keeper came on outfield and scored the winning goal, and was very unlucky with another attempt from distance. mchugh at full back was outstanding and all 6 forwards excelled. they are coping well with out bohan, the future is bright.

Sorry but beating Shroid or anyone else in a Division 6 game isn't much of an achievement.

luk lads ive looking at the posts recently and the results of division 2 and 6.it seems that the stronger of the two teams is in div 6 for grattan og.we played them in div 2 earlier in the year and only lost by a point.there main problem is in the middle of the park for them.i hear that john balf is improving but john twaddle had 2 be dropped cos he was slowing up the game.i tink they will make it out of the group but thats it.its an open intermediate championship but sorry lads not this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shroid are a disappointing team so nothing to be ranting about. Legan are the team this year. out and out

This thread is so funny. It's basically a bunch of people talking about grattans over and over again. I think the intermeduate will be very open. Carrickedmond and Kilashee will make it out of their group with a minimum of fuss. The other group will provide this years winner I feel. On any given day each team can beat each other, so Grattans for example seen as everybody loves talking about them could top the group considerng they have beating each team already in the last twelve months or if luck didn't go their way they could finish bottom. The two teams that come out of this group will be more battle hardened I feel. I genuinely wouldn't be suprised if both Carrick and Kilashee were to go on and lose their respective semi-finals which I have no doubt that they will reach. Prediction for the title? Grattans.... or Ballymore.... or Legan.... or Kenagh.

well put ronnie, but i tink the true reflection will show in the second round games.sum of the smaller clubs like killashee and grattans will strugle in the second round games and championship because of a week line.

I was also told Gary Murphy played against Grattans at the weekend, a quality player, he will definitely strengthen them.

The last time I seen Gary Murphy he was sent to the line for doing a striptess after scoring a goal. It was one of the funnniest sights I've ever seen at a match, he cost his team the match. Its great to have him back he'll bring some entertainment to intermedaite games that are quite boring.

Hanley i've been trying to mention that all day. Priceless stuff. He'll get loads of ideas from the world cup
