Humilation as Dromore get the boot...

Ulster Senior Club Championship

Clontibret 0-10 0-8 Dromore

I see our neighbours Dromore, the so called senior county champions let their county down today as they were kicked out of the Ulsters in the first round. What a shame and humilation for the cocky Dromore side who were lucky to snatch victory from Arboe a couple of weeks ago in a controversal penalty in injury time.

This is supposed to be the club Tyrone were expecting to go the whole way to the All Ireland Club Championships but like their neighbours Trillick last year they will bring no silverware back to their county!

Do you have a life or does your "partner" work on sunday`s leaving you at a lose end...? Maybe a youth club or a legion of mary branch might pass the time on for you? Here`s hoping night night..

Trillick actually did bring back silverware to the county with the ulster championship, as always poor Fermanagh people and irvinestown people do not have a clue about the GAA. He was probably disappointed that the wanderers game was put off yesterday as they were afraid of getting wet and cold. You got to feel so sorry for them

Dromore were disappointing today, they had the opportunities but gifted Clontiberit a lot of soft possession. On the day - the best team did win and Clontiberit are a good side, but this was not the best Dromore has to give. Dromore has had a few lucky escapes this year against Errigal, Coalisland and Ardboe and maybe their luck had been spent over the season. On the other hand with the 76 years Dromore has been playing football, they have won their 2nd championship this year. It is disappointing today but it has been a good season. It shows how far Dromore has come that only 6-7 years ago Dromore had neither a senior football league of championship, that they were favourites going into todays game. They will be back, this is still a young side and the trophy cabinet is not empty.

As for Irvinestown Gael, did the Turkeys fly?

also i was just looking on the fermanagh page i would just like to say that Malachy O Rourke who is a fellow Tyrone man has called on another Tyrone man to be his right hand man to try and give fermanagh a "decent" name. In my eyes Fermanagh has a soft spot for tyrone!
What you think Irvy?

Dromore are not quite sure themselves. However, the rest of Tyrone know why, especially, Ardboe . The simple answer is that Dromore aren't good enough county champions to represent the county as they stole victory from the lough shore cowboys in the dying seconds in what only could be described as a miracle! The Monaghan representatives, Clontibret who are not that well rated, made Dromore a Tyrone look poor to say the least according to a report on Monaghan radio. Through the eyes of an independent observer, Dromore and indeed the county are living in a falsehood boosted by upbeat press reports! You lot will most likely will rubbish my posts on here, but you know in your heart that what I'm saying is correct! So what now for the great Tyrone county that came back from Croke Park with their tails between their legs as losers this year. Well if their representation in the Ulster Club SFC is the best the county can offer, then the county itself is heading for extinction from the All Ireland championship.

Lazarus has arisen however as usual no words of wisdom to follow. The reasons that your posts are rubbished is that you are a sad twisted man without anything positive to contribute to either these discussions or in life generally. Dromore on the day were not good enough, it happens. You are that clueless that you suggest that the report of a Monaghan radio station should be taken as gospel. If you had not the inclination to go to the game then do not comment on it. Its a bit like accepting that Man Utd are the greatest team in the land according to MUTV. In regards to your assertion that you are independant, catch a grip of yourself. A self confessed, virulent espouser of anti-Tyrone rubbish is the only contribution you make. Even on the Fermanagh boards, all you do is bad mouth Derrygonnelly, Kinawley etc, whilst talking very little of your own club playing on a virtually derelict ground. What division is your beloved St Molaise's in? come to think of it where is your beloved Fermanagh? If Tyrone bowed out of all competitions for the next 50 years, with 81 titles between U18 to senior how long would it take your beloved Fermanagh to catch us. 1 Vocational title, 1 Junior All Ireland and 4 McKenna cups is hardly a worthwhile return for the webfooted ones. I'll even allow you to add your 3 hurling trophies to help your cause. The GAA is in disarray in Fermanagh and the jealousy is understandable, but confine it to your own discussion forum as the continued success and talk of it on the Tyrone forum only leads to more visits from the green eyed monster. Maybe instead of jealousy you could try emulating. I see half of Irvinestown has taken up that offer already with lamposts coming into to it are normally covered in Tyrone flags anyway. Hold on a minute,i'm no fan of dromore, but a handy penalty? Miraculous penalty, did any of you actually see it?

Its online if you really want to have a look, but it was a clear penalty, and a penalty in the last minute is worth the same as in the first. Dromore won the county final cause they scored more than Ardboe. A match doesnt last 55 or 59 minutes it lasts the full hour so quit your whinging, Dromore are deserving county champions cause they beat all the teams in front of them.
Ardboe need an excuse they should look at their keeper who lost it for them.

lrvinestownGael?

Listen this poster (IRVINESTOWN GAEL) is the ultimate wind up merchant, though not always in a friendly way!

Just like the phrases he often uses to wind up like :-

SO CALLED ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONS
SO CALLED TYRONE CHAMPIONS
SO CALLED GREATEST TEAM

The fact is, HE is the only thing that is "SO CALED" on Hogan Stand and is without a doubt a "SO CALLED" GAEL!!

Of course winding up & friendly banter is common between different sets of supporters in our great Games & this forum, but Irvinestown Gael continuously oversteps the mark with his arrogant posts, that he proclaims to be Fact (The Gospel According to Irvinestown Gael comes to mind) well these posts often go way beyond slaging, he comes across as a person with a personal vendetta or severe chip on his shoulder.
Could you ever imagine him coming on HS to congratulate or say hard luck to any of our teams, without sounding patronising??

As I said on an earlier post where Irvinestown Gael was going of on a rant about Tyrone being rubbish & how the Senior County team let the county & the rest of Ulster down. Well I said, while winning and being successful is nice, it doesn't really matter that much to lose. It's not Life or Death.
We Gaels in Tyrone have had to cope with manys a recent tragedy, from this we've learnt that losing or winning a football match isn't the be all and end all of life.

I suppose the reason I'm writing this is I feel annoyed/Sad/Disappointed that a SO CALLED fellow Gael takes such delight in seeing his neighbouring County/Clubs fail :(

I can't help but forget Peter Canavan's speech when collecting our First Sam Maguire back in 2003, He said that the Death of Dromore's Paul McGirr helped light a flame that inspired us to go and win what we always though was impossible.

Just like the Tyrone Minor team where deeply moved by Paul's sad passing, I'm sure the Dromore team he played with were equally moved and have used his memory to help them achieve what they too though was impossible (Tyrone SFC)

So a defeat in Ulster isn't really that bad Irvinestown Gael, maybe you might think of this the next time you go posting on Hogan Stand........
