Seems that west Tyrone has mostly got its act together, with the exception of the Clarkes its a very poor showing by the East Tyrone clubs. Anyone got a suggestion why the geographical split?

you have just shown what little you know of Hurling or indeed football in the county. One Dungannon hurlers are EOGHAN RUA not the "clarkes" that is the name of the Footballers. two Naomh Columcille are also east tyrone along with pomroy at youth Level are also considered as east although they are borderline. your comment makes you look very foolish east tyrone clubs are current holders of the senior and intermediate championships as well as an Ulster championship not bad for teams that you claim to have a poor showing.

Have to admit that you let yourself down there Brend. I think that as a county Tyrone is starting to get its act together. I was at a hurling coaching course yesterday and there were 15 participants including 3 camogs. It was a brilliant if quite a long day and very rewarding. The coach was John Crossey and his attitude and expertise were a joy to behold. The spread of participants was 5 Eoghan Rua, 1 Naomh Colmcille, 1 Dromore, 4 Omagh as well as an Offaly fella whose club I'm not sure of an the camogs were Derrytresk, Derrlaughlan and a lady from Greencastle who have just started camogie in the club. A worthwhile day and hopefully a sign of continued development of hurling and camogie within the county

I didn't say the future was Dublin.

John Crossey? Was in primary school with me. Mind you that primary school team had about 6 people who played football/hurling for Ulster in later years.

Dub09, considering that the mighty capital's last success in hurling was pre WW2 in 1938, when as per usual at the time your team was full of country boys and 14 years since you last stole a football success I would say that you should keep that trap of yours shut. This is a decent constructive thread with none of the rubbish spouted on most others. Go away back and look after your own and stay out of business that does'nt concern you

Congrats Tyrone Hurlers well done and hopefully someday Tyrone can do what Cork done in 1990. It's a long time to 2090 so Keep up the hard work.

Lack of knowledge or not i am fully supportive of the efforts to get hurling on the scene and always look out for the Counties NHL and Meagher results. With the right planning and resources, and of course the commitment of the the county board, there is no reason why Tyrone should'nt be playing at Christy Ring level in say 5/6 years time, or am I being to hopeful?

The classic county board that cant c past a football.
Tyrone county board cant sit snugly under the gaa umbrella and do little fr hurling in their own backyard.
A football is easily bought but hurls, helmets & sliothers (that might last a week) r wee bit more pricey....
Hurling has always been 2 the back of the queue, but we havent gone away u know !!!!!!!
Were not in it for the glory we just love 2 hurl. Keep clashin the ash lads
