New Louth players

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

sorefoot, you are right about a few of them like clarke, rogers and maguire. some of the others have had their chance and werent good enough or werent committed. and a couple of the players you mentioned are barely good enough for their own clubs. but like i said youre correct about the majority of them. i think there's a few more we could add such as declan byrne, peter nixon, ray mccabe and ronan holcroft. alsokeep an eye onandy mcdonnellnext year for the blues!

Theres a few lads that should be given chances this year, in the O'Byrne cup at least. Sean Connor (outfield), Dec Byrne, Nigel Farrel(Mochtas)l, Ronan Holcroft (Fechins), Mike Englishby, Ryan Lenaghan, Dan Bannon (Collon), Gallagher (Cooley). If you mix some of these with the Leinster junior team and the usual suspects from the senior team then I think thats a good start. Some physical presence at midfield would also be a necessity. Whoever comes in I hope he plays the best players in their best positions.

How about Shane Callan (na Piarsaigh) for midfield, scored 1-3 in the intermediate final?

players in my opinion worth a look at -- sean connor- pats (out field), neil gallagher- cooley, ronan greene- mals, kevin rogers- mals, craig owens- blues, ian mc manus- blues, Also get back lads who've previously played such as david devanney- glyde, mark brennan- mattock, jamie carr- blues. i've seen a good many games this year and i think hunger and desire will play a big part if we want to progress. there's no secret plan but we all must pull together and players must want and desire to develope and progress and to not just be going through the motions as have seemed this past few years

why do people assume that if u play well for a junior club that u can make it playing senior inter county football its a joke, its rubbish football and they wouldnt cut it against better players

bigdog10 looks like your secret identity is out. Only a clans man could say that Ray McCabe would cut it as a Louth player!! Dont worry Fitzer will give plenty of them a chance!

I hope Ronan Holcroft gets a look at, as he was by far the best forward at Junior level, and by far one of the best prospects Louth football has. You'd imagine he will as Johnny McDonnell is a Fechins man and would only be too happy to have a fellow clubman who deserves his chance on the squad or at least at the trial matches.
