House of pain - Mayo

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

For the record can anyone list the finals in senior/minor/u21 and club all ireland finals that mayo have lost say since 1989 ? also include the ones won. I would like to see it in black and white. I would appreciate it if anyone could do this (knowing the pain it will involve if u are from mayo) Thanks.

Covie.in.D7 - very depressing looking at our record there i was at the game yesterday and that feeling of sitting in croke park after another lost game is very hard to take

I would rather be as competitive as Mayo are than be like Donegal. We all smiled and felt warm inside when ye won in 1992 but what have ye done since then RuaNua that makes you feel superior to Mayo who have been one of the most consistently competitive counties in the last 20 years?
A junior club would have put up more of a fight to Cork this year. Embarrassing.

Cheer up Mayo lads. At least you have been in finals. I have never had the pleasure of seeing my county in any kind of All-Ireland Final. Now thats heartbreaking !!

At least Mayo have got to that many finals and well done to them for that. But there must be some mental bloke in the county for actuallt winning finals.

Some day it will all change. Success will come your way. Continue to learn and be prepared to change your ways. Never quit and start to believe in yourselves. When success comes dont let it go to your heads, for 60 years is a long, long time.

its not nice to loose so many finals, but how many other counties had as many appearaces in finals, its great to have a team there nearly every year, unlike most counties who never get a team to any final, also remember our great ladies team so appeared and won so many finals in recent years, not a bad record at all

I think its funny that counties who never get near an all-ireland in any grade feel superior to mayo when we lose a final. It would be hilarious if it wasnt so tragic from all sides
